Well another great meet has come and gone ...a lot of great panels...great conversations and new and old friends ships have been savored.I got to meet Karen Bush (fun lady) Sal Cabrerra (really talented and kind as well) and Rhonda Neb from Colorado (I think she was blown away with all that goes on)

The "Party before the Party" was great ...we had 30 plus people in our little house again this year ...plenty of BBQ and good eats, beer and adult beverages...it was wonderful seeing old friends and meeting new ones. Every time we have one of these parties I just amazed at the power of the internet and this site in particular.

Fred's meet was extra special this year because one of the driving forces that creates much of the ambiance at Fred's was able to attend (couldn't keep him away)...Bob Nouise actually showed up and shared his bravery with the rest of us...a whole lot of love was wafting thru the place all weekend long. Everyone there showed their appreciation of the man in so many ways and Robert moved us all with his tenacity as he works his way back thru this inconvenience he is struggling with.

With the drive and guts Robert is showing there is no doubt in anyones mind he will ovecome this adversity and be better than ever.
He was even practicing on a panel Saturday afternoon (best therapy I can think of).

Another great surprise was Bob Harper showing up on saturday (some friends drove him down from Kan, city) It was good to see him again and we had a nice couple of visits. (Bob and I go way back and it was fun catching up).

I'll try and post some pics here in a few days...and remember it's only 362 days til Fred's next meet..put it on our calender!

Oh and be sure to come to the "Party before the Party" (361 days away)

Thanks to everyone ...Pat and I loved seeing you all again!

I really wanted to come but things just didn't work out. Good thing I didn't I guess with everything happening around here. Oh well, maybe next year. Good to hear Bob Harper is doing well.

Monte, every year I read about your party & I tell myself i have to make it there one of these days. One of these days I will.

(btw, I built a new improved (but smaller) break room to allow for expansion of a production area, & the panel swap piece you made, my first panel, holds a prominant place in that room)

Thanks again for your hospitality and generosity. Fred's meets and your parties before the meets are just a part of our life we plan on every year (and we wouldn't want it any other way).

We'll see you in 361 days (and probably a few times before that).

Everything was on-track for me to be in OKC by 6 p.m. thursday (was also going to bring my youngest grandson's dad with me, just found out he's really enthused about starting pinstriping and airbrushing). Howerver, someone died and I got a call at 4:30 a.m. Thursday. That blew my plans for Thursday & Friday but I still thought we'd be able to at least make Sat. afteroon & evening before rushing back to run the funeral on Sunday. However, someone else died Sat. morning which blew THAT plan clear out of the water. I was crushed because I've really been looking forward to being there but some things have just gotta be taken care of. On the good side, it sounds like y'all had a blast & it's less than a year until the next chance to share in the fun!

p.s. I'm really glad to hear that Nuke & Nan were able to make it up for the meet. If anyone can beat the odds after an accident like that, he's the man, especially with the help of a good woman like Nan!!

There is simply no way to fully describe Fred's gathering with words - it goes well beyond that. This year was no exception.

Robert was an inspiration. There were a lot of tough guys trying to hold back tears when Nan decscribed the events surrounding the accident and the time since, and their appreciation for the concern shown to them by Letterheads around the country. I'm not tough enough to hold back tears, so I just let them go.

Bob Harper surprised everyone and was the hit of the day. Some of the young whipper-snappers didn't have a clue who he was or what he represented, but us old timers certainly did. Of course, it was my job to just give him a hard time...but some very appreciative words were spoken also.

Thanks to Fred, Marilyn, and Skip for putting on another classic.

More later...the MDO is backing up.

It was another Letterhead weekend to remember.

I really enjoyed meeting some bullboard folks face to face. Bob and Marsha Peach...very nice couple(thanks for the panel!)...Karyn Bush...fun gal!(I thought she would be tough and intimidating, but she's really a marshmallow [Wink] )...Sal Cabrera...talented and soft spoken. Very nice guy.
...Roger DiNofa(sp?)...sounds kind of like Mike Lavallee when he talks. [Smile] hehe,
...and so many others.

One of the highlights was meeting the legendary Bob Harper. I hope I have so much hair when I'm his age.

Seeing Robert Nouis there was a real heartwarming surprise, and as Ray said, made it a very emotional weekend.

Ray and Mike, it was great seeing you guys and I'm proud to say that we kept our Letterhead tradition of getting lost in the city at least once!

The Chapmans made me a beautiful etched and glue chipped glass piece with the Sign Police logo, too.
Thank you, guys!!!!

Alton and Mary Gillespie made it and it was great seeing them. Alton performed his usual antics and Mary was always beaming that great smile.

Another super Fred's weekend!

We had an absolutely, fantastic time at Fred and Marilyn’s! It was so good to get Rob/Nuke out of the house and in the middle of his friends/family and the people he admires! We also enjoyed meeting some of you for the first time. That is always a joy to meet new people and see new talent!
A great big thank you goes out to Marilyn, Fred and their family for putting on another wonderful meet. My dad hasn’t quit talking about the shop, people, crafts, and talent!!!! He was quite impressed and has now had the opportunity to meet some of the inspirational people Rob and I always speak of.
Another big THANK YOU to everyone who supported LazerLines.com while at the show. As always, we will continue to provide you all with the best products and service…so always let me know what you are looking for and I’ll do my best to find it for you if I don’t have it already! Your support this weekend will allow us to “make it happen again!”
I can’t go before I tell you all that were there…and because I don’t have everyone’s email or address…..thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts…..your love and support, prayers and thoughts, words of wisdom and experiences, and even your opened pockets….will forever be remembered and appreciated. Yes, there were a lot of tears…even I don’t normally shed them…but I did ….so sorry! Rob is touched and I think our unfortunate experience we are going through just may have taught us a lot of things that we may have taken for granted! One thing I know for sure…don’t ever leave the side of or even hang the phone up on your friends or loved ones before you tell them…ya love them! You never know if you’ll get the opportunity later! Things happen in a FLASH! Or, in Rob’s case, going 20 mph!
Until next time….the next event…or even if you stop by to see us….take care and thanks!
Nan & Rob
Frank....I was worried about you!!!! I sure am missing Scotty! Chris..sorry to hear about your weekend as well. Missed seeing you as well. My dad would have enjoyed meeting both of you guys!

Just a few more bits…
Mary & Alton….we love you and you know it! Stop by soon. Jen & Bob…..so good to finally give you a big hug and kiss! Your son is an absolute doll! He is so sweet….too bad you don’t have him cloned and then we could save them for the twins when they got old enough to date…Rob says when they are 30! Grandpa, I already miss ya! Todd…love you so much. We’ll see you in a couple of weeks…right?!?! Robert B…..waiting on the email and I need a wood stamper thingy! Bobbo….I think dad wants you to come down and sped some time with him! We missed Magic! Ron…I didn’t get your address! We love our panels from everyone…! Thank you all for your hugs….We sure needed them! It has re-charged me and I’m ready to take whatever’s next straight on! Rob should get his “head” put back together in a few weeks…we’ll keep ya posted! I know I didn’t mention all….but I think I’m running out of space…you are not forgotten!

WOW!!! What a meet! Fred's shop is just amazing and I'm trying to comprehend how one man could of produced all that great stuff. Thanks Fred and Marilyn,Monte and Patsee, and all the people who helped make this happen.

There's a long list of people I'd like to mention The Peaches,Sal and Karyn who was just killin me with her sense of humah! Michael Smith for keeping me company back there in the corner under the door buzzer. lol

Inspiration was everywhere Joey Hutson,Ron Meyers,Bobbo,Mark Yearwood,Robert Beverly,Alton of coarse,And the korean ex change student Yun.

I'd also like to wish Robert and Nan the best of luck and for a speedy recovery. Their story really tugs at my heart strings.

I could go on and on but I got in last night at two in the Morning and I'm just plain wiped out. Roger

Just got in. We left Sunday afternoon after a great weekend, and found that we had put 4040 miles on the rental car!!

Boy, that little car can outrun severe weather with tornado watches and warnings.

Thank you Fred, Marilyn, Skip, and everyone who helped make this meet so special.
Thanks to all the sponsors, too.

Monte and Pat - those "marshmallow ribs" were awesome at the Party Before the Party.

It's always neat to see so much talent in one place.

Met a lot of people we have been wanting to actually meet in person: Alton & Mary Gillespie, Bobbo, Bob & Nick Padilla, Ray & Mike Chapman, Mark Yearwood, Bob Harper (what a treat to see his portfolio), Daryl Jones, Joey Hutson......

We met many more cool people I don't dare to mention for fear I'll leave someone out.

It was especially inspiring to meet Robert & Nan Nouis. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

We were hoping to see Frank & Scotty, but as it turned out..Scotty doesn't drive so well in the snow.
Also, it was too bad we missed Geet & Ellen.
Well there's always next year!!

Thanks again everyone.
