When you buy the upgrade to CorelDraw, like the X3, do you get the library book with all the clipart? I was just wondering if there is more clipart.

It is a nice wire bound book- there are some of the images that have been around in all of the collections, but there seems to be quite a bit of new stuff- a lot of vehicle outlines but it appears to be a pain to locate a particular vehicle. It also appears that the clipart won't open or import into earlier versions of CorelDRAW.

There are some new fonts as well- both OpenType and TrueType

Cynthia's question has already been answered, however, I wanted to comment on the upgrade.

We finally have a REAL trace tool. This week, a customer sent me a logo their "designer" came up with in Corel. There were only 422 overlapping, non closed shapes with various line widths and a bitmap thrown in. There was no way possible to edit the file and turn it into cuttable vectors. I selected all, converted it to a bitmap, and used the Trace Bitmap tab. It took a few attempts at various settings before I got it right but I had something I could work with in under five minutes. With minimal node editing, it will be ready to output. I was quite impressed. I think the trace tool itself is worth the upgrade.

I've been thinking of upgrading also. Had version 8 and now using 9.

9 doesn't lock-up like 8 did and does everything I need it to do...but has the "pain in the butt" bug in the contour tool (flat spots)

I've used version 10 and it seemed ok.

Just wondering if I should make the leap to X3 or a version in between.

Thanks,
Tony

I would say upgrading from version 9 to X3 is a no brainer. Well worth the price! Be prepared for a slightly different look but every tool is much improved.

Corel X3 is well worth the upgrade. CorelDraw is finally what it should be, IMHO.

Is there a limit to how far back you can upgrade?
