Well, i've made the font(s) , but I just want to make them into a real font that I can download and type out. the way I have them now, I open my corel draw and place the letters wherever I need them. I eventually want to try to market some of my fonts, but I don't know where to start. Anyone know where to lead me?

Since you have Corel, you have the easiest to learn font software already. It won't be perfect, but you'll have a font you can install or load for your usage. Check in Corel's Help file. There will be a brief explanation on how to create true-type fonts. It should tell you how the page should be set up. You will Export each individual character to 1 file which has the .ttf extension. Be sure to check the Selected Only checkbox. When you export the 1st character, you'll be prompted to create the font name, & some other stuff. Once you have your characters all exported, you should be able to use them (the font).
Then, if you want to perfect them, you can open them up in a dedicated font creating program; but that's not necessary to a beginner. This'll get you started. Good Luck.

A search on google, plus on THIS bullboard will bring up previous answers to the question, and a few tutorials...

At the top right of this screen, under <new topic> is a set of clickable links:"my profile", "search", "faq" etc.
Click on <search> and type in the words required (eg making fonts) set the forum (eg Letterhead/pinhead talk) and search.
