Not long ago, Bobbo Dunn of Albq., N.Mex. decided to publish a book of designs that he has accumulated over the years. As Bobbo has been in the forefront of this industry for over 50 years,(he worked SoCal along w/others of fame for years before moving on), these designs show the different levels acquired by this consumamte professional, including a serious dose of his present southwestern influence. To a newcomer or a seasoned pro, this is a must have item, consider it the clip-art of the pinstriping world. To contact him about this, I've copied this from another forum:
"OK guys, I finally finished and have it printed and I have a Holiday Special of $19.95 plus $5 shipping and handling. I'm sending them priority mail so you should receive them in 3-4 days.
The book has 121 pages of black and white designs and 4 colored pages to show how I used my colors to make them work.
Call me at 505-281-9141, or send a check for $24.95 to BOBBO, 15 N Peacock Ln., Tijeras, NM 87059."
For those that don't know of Bobbo, he's a highly talented automotive artist of many a media, he's recoginized and repected by all his peers, he also has very few contempories, he resides alongside of the likes of Tom Kelly; Bob Spina; Steve Kafka; and those he worked alongside of that are gone; Roth; VonDutch; Tom Stratton; Shakey Jake to mention a few...some acredited Roth to starting t-shirt craze, truth is, it was Bobbo, he also had a hand in creating the RatFink icon and drew it more than he cares to remember, heheh... Anyway, thought you pinstripers or those aspiring to be, might apppreciate hearing of a source of good design work at affordable rates...keepn' it wet, later...
