The Bacon Factory (a long-time valued customer) asked me to add a new logo to their factory front facia. No problem. I gave them a price based on two of us painting and airbrushing for a day off 4m mobile scaffold. Not much short of a grand.
They gave me a "bigger" .jpg file on a CD to print out and do a scale layout to go by.
My Corel Draw download maxed out at 70% !!!! Damn file was 119MB !!!! Oh well, my mate down the road maybe can open it for me.
Only after reducing file 50% and making a cup of coffee while it downloaded did the final pic show. Detail? You could see the individual hairs on his arm!
Then Alan asked if I wanted a full size 8x5ft print! Tempted, I asked how much and when. Laminated and ready in the morning for $300!!
Profit talks! Besides, we are booked solid at the moment and this was going to save us heaps of time. My Excuse #2002-4.2
It took us two hours total to instal and that included travel, picking up and erecting the scaffold etc.
Customer was delighted! Asked if they were suitable to put on their truck fleet too!!!!!
Promise I won't do it again. Well ..... maybe
Don't know what Ned Kelly has to do with Bacon Burgers tho!
