2.) Hanging Brackets (6 of 'em)

Thanks to Mike Berry of Signbrackets!

These hanging brackets are intended to hang sign blanks that are 1/2" or 3/4" inches in thickness. Purposely build the bracket to be a bit wider to eliminate the risk of damage while installing these brackets onto the sign. Brackets are made with contoured ends to enhance the look of the bracket. Top "D" ring is welded on and intended connection methods are "S" hooks or locking links. The hole is 5/16" in diameter.

SignBrackets

Bill & Jane Diaz of Diaz Sign Art from Pontiac. IL

-----------------------------
3.) Three 24 Mica Samples In Individual Plastic
Thanks to Ron & Kristi Percell!

Mica powders are particles coated with titanium dioxide and/or iron oxide. They are evironmentally safe, non-toxic, non-tarnishing and universal. Mica powders can be added to varnishes, shellacs, acrylics for painting and glazing. Mica powder can also be flash gilded directly on a sized surface. Mica colors can be intermixed with each other to provide additional colors. The density of coverage depends on the amount of powder used. Final effects can be altered by varying temperatures up to 900 degrees Celsius (1.650f) All Mica powders are suitable for interior and exterior use.

Thanks to Ron & Kristie Percell of Letterhead Sign Supply! If you are having problems locating hard to find supplies, LSS are the people to talk to! Drop by their website to see all the hard to find things you are looking for.

4.) Logo Design for Small Business 2, by Dan Antonelli!

Perhaps no business relies so heavily on its logo to create an effective image as a small or micro business. And there are millions of them, like contractors, florists and coffee shops. In this second book, Dan Antonelli explores the thinking behind over 175 logo designs for such businesses, helping you improve your design skills and reducing the time you spend on them. You’ll see why the corporate logo design approach may not be the best approach for a small business, when to use a horizontal or vertical format, how to educate your clients about the power of their logo and more.

Thanks to gang at SignCraft Books for supplying this prize.

Bobbie Rochow of The Word In Signs from Jamestown, PA

-----------------------------
5.) Three Unique Fonts!

Have you met Rob Leuschke yet? Rob is a multi-talented graphic artist, calligrapher and type designer from St. Charles, Missouri. He's donated 3 of his best fonts, Cherish, Neonderthaw & Jackie-O, to be given away to some lucky Letterville Resident.

Rob has launched a website to market his unique fonts. It's called

TypeSet It

Rene Giroux of Perfexion Signs from Gatineau, QC
-----------------------------
6.) Alphabets of Atkinson Volume #1 by The Fontry!

One dozen of the finest examples of Art Nouveau lettering anywhere! The Alphabets of Atkinson, Volume One, represents the best-of-the-best by sign-industry legend Frank H. Atkinson. His book, Sign Painting was published almost 100 years ago and has become the artistic standard for generations of signpainters and computer-aided
signmakers.

The dozen Alphabets of Atkinson cover the gamut of historical styles, from ornate tuscans to flowing scripts, all of which expertly complement a secondary range of Atkinson's less-elaborate workhorse styles that are still classics in their own right. There's something here for every signmaker, from the ordinary to the extraordinary.

All 12 alphabets have complete character ranges and are published on CD. Thanks to Mike Atkins at The Fontry for supplying this prize. Check out his entire font collection at

The Fontry

Thanks Barb & Steve and Thanks to Hartco and Dan Hanson. Dan, do you have a tap on my shop phone? I was just discussing the need for some prefab signblanks for an upcoming project! Good mojo going on there - I'll be calling.
As you can tell by the delayed response time, I've been so busy, Jake had to email me to tell me I won something!
Jim - your compliment humbles me as I value not only your friendship, but your superb sign skills...
Jake - you on the other hand, know me too well so I won't even go there, but that's a great idea for use of the signblank. Will you have time to do it for me????
k [Thanks]
