Another excellent month. Thanks to all who entered and those who voted.

Results were clear-cut this month even with the overall high quality of entries.

Gilded Gemini Letters and wheat on baked enamel background and the stonework too. Very impressive.

HP Beige and black Vinyl window with a tweek in the lettering that makes it special.

 -

CATEGORY D ... Vehicles
Brian Stoddard
A simple but eyecatching logo design and its application to a van.

 -

CATEGORY E ... Design, Business Cards etc.
Mark Yearwood
A photoshop design for Wine Labels in a class of its own!

 -

Congratulations to you all. Your Certificates will be e-mailed to you as soon as possible. I have a "Christmas Rush" on here at the moment!

Sign of the Month DECEMBER is OPEN NOW!. I have several entries I'm carrying over from last month due to the numbers submitted. Especially in Cat.A.
But I need heaps more.

SOTM December entry closes December 31st.
e-mail .jpg files no bigger than 60k to jonsigns@icr.com.au.

A lot of "newbies" entered in November with some cool stuff. Try again!

Let's keep the ball rolling!

Good stuff! Mark Yearwood, any chance for a step by step how you accomplished that gold background? I love that!

Gorgeous stuff, folks. The glue-chipped and gilded glass was a lock, I would love to see a step-by-step on that!

Wow!
Recognition like this from my peers means everything!

Three and a half years ago, when I first found this site I was in total awe of the talent here. I would never have believed for a second that I could have come this far. Letterville has been the door to my education in both design and manufacturing.

Thank you all for your input into the design, help with techniques and encouragement.

Congratulations to all the other winners, too!
Glad to have you by my side, Suelynn!

I was very surprised as well.
What a nice thing to see first thing in the morning. I submitted the entry on a whim & never expected it to win.

All the work submitted was truely amazing.

Thanks everyone!

That short Okie won again? Somebody put a governor on him or a restrictor plate or something. He's just too far ahead of everybody.

Maybe he's on drugs. Hmmmmmm.

Want to know a little bit of gossip? You know that "Avalon" sign in this month's Sign Business Portfolio section? Well, don't spread it around, but he didn't do the whole sign by himself. No, rumor has it that he used a trained monkey on part of it. But you didn't hear it from me.

Thanks for the votes everyone. I appreciate the comments, too.
The rest of the entries were great! I enjoy seeing each batch.

OK, Ray. I'll clue them in.

We were in a pinch and Mike Chapman cut the Avalon letters out on their scroll saw for us from a file I sent down. We then routed a bevel edge and hammered the crap out of them with a ballpeen and threw some gold on there.

Texans. Always trying to start something with the guys across the Red River.

And if Mark would have had a MultiCam he wouldn'ta had to sub it out to the short Texan and then take all this abuse!!

Havin fun with MY MultiCam here in Yarrow....

Dan - yes, that was a major discussion while Mike was cutting out those letters. Later we did some more work for the Yankee Okie in PVC and REALLY wished for a router. It took us about twice as long as we had expected.

Now we have a pile of sandblasted/dimensional signs and one of those routers (generic term since I don't get a kick-back from Multicam) would really come in handy.

It's on my Christmas list. I'm just wondering how Santa is going to get it in that bag.

Actually, I've been waiting on Mark to buy one and then I could send all of my stuff up there.
