Yesterday we said goodbye to my 96 year old Grandma...she was a very special person, born in Michigan, she was the best cook our family new, an avid gardener, he roses and dahlias were show quality.

The good part of the day was meeting my relatives, most who I hadn't seen since I was 10 yrs old.

Turns out they were wonderful ppl whom I would have loved to have grown up around.

They were happy to see my Dad was back home in Washington State.

Looking forward to the upcoming Christmas party, and the annual Fourth of July family picnics I've heard about all my life!!

It's really great to have family!! [Smile]

A:)

Congratulations Adrienne! Sometimes people spend their whole lives not knowing their family, and you get to dance with yours! I'm sorry for your loss yet am joyful over your gain! Lap up family Adrienne, hug them hard and love them deep!

If it were me, I'd be visualizing G'ma holding my hand and nudging me into the room with love.

Big hug from me and mine and a big Woo Hoo!

I'm sorry about your loss Adrienne. [Frown] However, it's nice that you were able to get together with your family.

Sorry to hear of your loss. (A little something I have learned,) = while your are with this "new" family observe carefully & you will find a bit of your Grandma in them. This makes for fond memories and shows that they go on.

Your Grandma must have been a treasure and a tough one! My Dad is 94 and is expected to leave us any time now. They sure had some great tales to tell didn't they?

I hope my genes aren't quite that strong. I have more than my share of wrinkles already [Wink]

Adrienne,
Sorry about losing your Grandma. Grandmas are special as sometimes and in some ways a closeness that not even parents share. After all it's just a little grander. They always know so much. So, I guess I am happy for your closeness in your family as you show family is so special to you. I wish more folks would hold their dear family above everything else as you do.
Your Grandma lived a long time. Mine both lived into their nineties also. God bless you and may you feel her spirit alive and well as you journey on through life.
