I just got back from Aledo Illinois where I helped Michael Clark for 4 days......anyone need any help? I am known as a traveling painter anyway...I might as well help out anyone else interested...I do the sticky letters stuff too if I have to...also Gold Leaf, sandblast, glue chip, spray faces, cut out hdu letters, old looking vintage signs, window splashes, logo design...pretty much all around except for Neon and big crane/boom truck installs. Sure, I still do my own stuff.... Can I help YOU out? Email me your projects..I'd love to jump in!! over 20 years experience and LOVES HOCKEY Barb, the pictures please........

If anyone can do it...it's Mike, hell of a guy and always has a laugh! But when it comes to painting, he's a painting machine! And that Michael Clark guy, also a hell of guy, and if you need a bull horn...HE"S THE MAN! Mike, and Michael what a coincidence, Daniez Perez and myself did an eagle sort of like what you guys did a few years a go. I had to do a double take. http://franciscovargas.com/signage/eagle.htm
Mikey, Soon as I hear from these people over here, you might end up back in Fresno.

Rick, Those photos is what MIke got done for me in the four days that he was here. The eagle mural both he and I and Ayleen worked on and we knocked it out in one day. The Morrison's Market wall is one that I had painted 2 years ago and the paint was failing, so the customer wanted it touched up. Mike instead repainted the whole thing.
If you have ever had the opportunity to watch Mike with a brush in his hands, he's fast. He doesn't lolligag around. It's like poetry in motion. The USA Rental sign he painted by himself with a pattern that I had made.
What is great having someone like Mike come to your shop is that he knows what he is doing and you can send him out on a job and you don't have to worry. You don't have to babysit him and this can free you up to work on other jobs. I was getting real behind with having hosted the Wall Bash and Mike came to the rescue. He is a very talented and a real good friend. Besides that, he is the traveling MAN!
He can also install Gemini letters!

Really nice stuff as always! After a divorce and selling his house when I was a teenager, my dad bought a camper and he and his girlfriend, now wife (who came along after the divorce) took off across country for over a year, working from town to town. He left with no plan except he wanted to visit all 50 states, Mexico, and Canada, which he did! They'd pull into some little town that didn't look like it had a regular sign painter and drum up some work. Sometimes stopping in the local sign shop to see if they needed help- some willing to help and others totally offended thinking he was trying to take their work. After they'd seen all the sites of the town, they'd move on to another campground. Don't think he ever dipped into his house money as he bought another one when he returned. Guess it'd be a little easier now, having a way to line up work ahead of time- this was 20 years ago. He has an awesome photo album from the trip, lots of just plain pretty photography, but also got alot of ideas for future signmaking. Wish I could travel!

Beth, don't "wish I could travel" The only person that could hold you back is...you. I also did something like your father, but I was only on the road for only four months, but when I hear about guys like Mike and other who have done trips like your dad before me, I get flashbacks on what it's like out there in diferent states. Just go for it, it does help to have a little plan on how...

I'll be on the look-out for projects around here we could team up on. It would be great getting back to the roots and slingin' some big brushes outdoor while fightin' the winds. It's about as near to heaven as you can get.
Springtime would be good.
GO GREEN DRAGONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They beat up on the famous Blue Boys and they're 1 win away from goin' to the big dance. We need to put together a caravan for the state championship game. Friday after Thanksgiving all walldodgs involved in the Western IL Wall Bash need to be in Champaign to cheer on those GREEN DRAGONS.

Hey Mike! If Canadian money is good for you and you're not afraid of snow (which I know you're not!) let me know!
I was just looking all over the place for somebody else who can hold a brush (there is already 4 of us here).
We just signed for 97 window banners all customs sized from 6' to 15' for a fast-food chain in Quebec and need help. Needs to be done by mid-december and installed between Christmas and New year's eve. Plus all the regular Christmas stuff.
Thanks.
