I have a sign that is about two years old where I used Ronan enamel on a few areas for silhouette images. I drove by the other day and it is white now and running down the dark green sign panel. It was originally bright green.
Can I clean and recoat on top of that or is it down for the count?
Thanks! Glad I don't use enamels any more.

I'd agree with Si on this, but it wouldn't hurt to give it a light sanding anyway. If there is any gloss left, then new paint may not stick for any length of time.

Hi Amy, I would sand it down and repaint the whole sign! Remember.........using Ronan paint is like using Avery Vinyl!

If it cleans up good, you might try coating it with "Sign Restoring Clear" I believe Chramtic or 1 Shot makes it. We used to use it on painted billboards to extend their life.

Hey Amy, I had a sign in similar situation. Used mild soap(dawn dish soap) and washed the sign and rinsed. Treated the fading and blending of colors like oxidation of auto. Cleaned up nice. Worth a shot.
