Hello all. I just wanted to introduce myself. My name as you seen already is Travis Jones. I'm the son and step-son of Bobbie King and the late Pat King. Pat and my Mom always had great and wonderful things to say of the people of the Letterheads. I have been fortunate enough to even meet a few of you. I'm currently trying to get started in this amazing business and carry on through the teachings of Pat, his wonderful work. I only wish to be as good as him and as so many of you are. If any one would like to give me any pointers or advice please reply. Any help or advice will always be put to good use.I will do my best to keep up with this great web site and community, and would also like thank you all for everything you have done for Pat and my mom Bobbie King.

I had the pleasure of painting with Pat, at John Smith's meet a few years back. He was a talented, and giving person. He sent me a license plate, with a "Florida Letterheads" logo on it. I still have it, and think of him everytime I look at it. I only spent a short time with him, but I'll always remember his love of the craft, and willingness to share with others. If there's anything I can do to help you, feel free to e-mail me anytime.

Have you ever seen the bulletine here about Pat when he passed away?? If not let me know and I'll put the link here for you, or e-mail it to you.
My tip is: Keep a watch here for a meet near you and go meet more 'heads, and have fun absorbing and practicing the info first hand!

Thankyou all. I have been to a few of the meets, my first in Venton, Iowa, the next in Evansville, Indiana, and the last I went to was Pat's Duck Soup in Mcalla, Alabama. They were some of the most fun I'd ever had. I am doing my best at hand painting. One of my current projects is a mural I and my friend Josh Gilley are donating to New Albany, In (my home city) which is a HUGE one. 12' x 92'. It's a little overcoming but so far it is turning out very well. I will definitly keep you all in mind when advice is needed and thak you again.

Welcome to the circle, Travis. There are a few masters in Indiana that seem open to helping and teaching others. Gary Anderson is around Bloomington and Dave Butler is near Syracuse. You might drop in on them abd buy them a lunch and see it it was the best ten dollar investment of your life.

Welcome Travis, I would like to see a picture of that big mural. I would also like to know if the painting I did of Pat was destroyed in the fire. I painted him lettering in his famous coveralls.

It's great to hear from you all. Don, I'll probably been down that way at the begining of the year to get supplies from Evansville (because I can't seem to find any good supply stores around louisville) I plan to make a detour over your way, if I can, just to say hi. Also I gave my mom the message. Sam, it's great to hear from you. How's everything been goin' w/ your speed shop? Rick, I will look into the formentioned gentlemen and we'll see what happens. Thankyou. Bill, I'm about half done with the mural now, but as soon as I'm done with it I'll definitly post a pic of it. I remember that painting, I will ask my mom about it and get back to you.
