I did go to the dog show. Didn't get Best of Breed, but did get Best of Opposite Sex. Thats ok... cuz then we didn't need to stay for group judging - I wanted to get back to the hospital.
Bruce was moved to the 'step-down' unit - basically a reg hospital room... complete with roommate. That also means he can have visitors and a phone. I don't know the phone number though. But for those that want to look it up or go visit, he is at ECMC - Erie County Medical Center on Grider Ave in Buffalo, NY.
He will be in this room until surgery. Then he will be in critical care for a day or two, then back to the Cardiac Care Unit he was in before, for another day or two... then back here to the step down unit until he goes home. They figure 5-7 days in the hospital after surgery.
I don't know yet when that will be. Hopefully will find out tomorrow.
He is REALLY REALLY bored. At least can watch hockey on TV! His step-dad will be there to watch the Bills game tomorrow with him.
THANK YOU TONS for all the emails and posts. I know I keep saying that, but it just doesn't seem to cover it. I have been printing everything off for him... and have gone through almost a whole 200 sheet pack of paper!!! Everyone who sees the piles of pages are overwhelmed. Especially us.
Thanks also for letting come here and post all this every day. Kinda gives me a chance to vent, too.

Tell Bruce to take it easy and dream of signs. Both of you are in our prayers and thoughts. After surgery, I am sure he will be more energetic and the designs will flow. Take care u guys!!!!!
So sorry I not responded till now. Not on here to often right now and was quite shocked when I heard about Bruce. Please make sure you send him my best and let him know that I am thinking of you both.

Bruce, Glad to hear you are up and around...a bit. Take this opportunity to take it easy. Look at it that way...."this is an opportunity for me to relax and rest". Don't forget to listen to your doctors and nurses. You're there so you might as well "enjoy" it and let them wait on you and fuss over you a little. If you are bored, do some sketching or read a sign mag.
Dana, You need to take a break too. Don't forget to get your rest and eat well. This is all a strain on you too and you don't need to have BOTH of you feeling badly! Hug the big guy or rub his feet or sit by his bedside or something till he feels better, but don't forget to take care of yourself too! Keep us posted. We are all praying for you both.
