I'm still kinda outta the loop here, don't totally understand everything they have done, but hopefully sometime today, someone will sit down with me and explain what the heck is going on.
Yesterday at the Niagara Falls hospital, they did a PET scan, or something like that. Took what looked like infrared picture of different parts of his heart. You could actually see by colors - and quite obviously - where the heart attack was taking place.
Last night at ECMC, they did a CAT scan, plus lottsa blood work. When I called this morning, he was on his way to having an angiogram.
I don't know much more than that right now.
Some people have emailed me, asking for an address. Since I really have no idea how long he has to stay there, our home address is 2212 Michigan Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14305.
I truly appreciate all the kind words, thoughts and prayers. If this isn't scary enough... he has no health insurance (that's another story), so when we get the bill, I may need the cardiologist...!!!
I wish I could print out all the wonderful posts for him, but Bruce doesn't have a printer on his computer here, and since they replaced our modem, I can't get internet to go on my computer. I hooked up the router, the lil lights are on... but no-one is answering at my computer! UGH!!!

So sorry to hear about, Bruce, Dana. It's always a shock to hear about someone getting a heart attack. Our prayers are with you all for his speedy recovery. He's a good man! I know you'll take good care of him.

Dana, When you have a chance to take a deep breath...go down to the billing office or talk to someone from there and see if they have something called (or similar to) Charity Care. We used to fill out an application once a year for my father and he was then covered by the hospital (he was there a lot) for anything for one calendar year. It will take a lot of the stress off of you.

We are all sending good thoughts his way, Dana. He'll be O.K. Hey, the GOOD news is that you got there early and they find out what's wrong before it gets more serious. Tell him he needs to wear that flaming suit as he goes out of the front door when he gets dismissed!

Dana, every hospital HAS to do a certain amount of chairity care every year. You guys deserve it a hundred times more than the illegals coming over here to get free medical.

Just got home. Hard to leave him there, but I got a couple boys crossing all 4 legs after a long day of me being gone!!
Dr says there are 3 blockages. One not that bad, one angioplasty bad and the last one bypass bad. But they don't want to go ahead with a bypass when only one artery needs it. We are waiting on consultations with the Drs that do the angioplasty, to see if they think they can get the results with that alone... or if the bypass is needed for sure.
Meanwhile, its a wait and see thing. He's still in CCU, so no phone and only immediate family. His sister Kathy flew in from Virginia (and boy are her arms tired, ta dum dum). His twin brother Brian will fly in from Chicago if they decide to do surgery.
He is having MAJOR phone withdrawal, too! Hasn't been on one for more than 24 hours now...
Thanks again for all the wonderful words, emails and phone calls. I can't tell you HOW much I TRULY appreciate them!!!

WOOHOOO!!! I scavenged around and found a cable to hook up my old HP LaserJet 6L. Took the power cord off my plotter, got it plugged into Bruce's computer... and it works!
I couldn't think of any other way than highlighting, right click and print... and between the two threads, got 32 pages worth!
He will be THRILLED... and very TOUCHED when I bring him his 'reading material' tomorrow.
Thanks again guys... I wish there were better words to fit how this makes both of us feel...

Dana, Today's technology is wonderful. Bruce will be well taken care of. Please take care of yourself through this....remember your health is just as important as Bruce will need you when he comes home. You are lucky to have each other, take care of yourself and give Bruce my best wishes.

Wow, no wonder Bruce didn't call me back the other day. Bruce buddy, don't know what you wanted to talk to me about when we were so rudely interupted by your customer. But I'm sure it can wait till you're recovered. Hang in there buddy. I'm expecting you to fully recover so I can hear all about this at the next Letterhead meet.
