Bruce came home early after a very stressful morning. He called me at work to vent about it, and happened to mention the knot he felt between his shoulders, and chest pains.
Needless to say I made him go to the local hospital ER. It was a heart attack.
They transfered him by ambulance to ECMC (Erie Co Medical Center), where he is now in the Cardiac Care Unit.
He does not have a phone, and only immediate family members can visit during very limited hours.
I will keep everyone posted.
At least once he heard that Buffalo won the hockey game, he felt much better!

Thank God you had the presence of mind to make him go to the ER, Dana. Brooce is too young for this! I hope he heals up soon. What a scare for the both of you. Love....Jill

I'll be thinking of you guys! When he gets back on his feet how about giving us chics some tips on getting your man to go to the hospital. I thought my hubbie was having a heart attack last week and he wouldn't go.

I know he has been under a load lately, just didn't think it was anything like this. I hope it is more mental then physical and will be dealt with.

Dana, I'm surprised, and pleased, that Bruce had the presence of mind to call and "complain" to you about the pains. I would have taken him for the type to have just shrugged them off and deal with the pain (like I, and most men, probably would do). I'm really glad he didn't.
By the way, when he DOES start complaining later about every little thing, tell him that Gene says, "Shut the hell up!" (inside joke, people).
If I prayed, he'd be in my prayers too. Okay, I'll say a special one for him... this time. I'm using up this month's prayer quota.
BTW, we Catholics were told to pray to Mary. Evidently it frees up God, or something like that, and she would talk to Him for us. I usually skip the middle-man (woman).
