Bill's (my soon to be hubby) brother-in-law just died. He had back surgery. It went well. 4 hrs later her just died in the recovery room. They tried to revive him and no go. We're waiting for the autopsy to see what happened. He was only in his early 50's. I feel bad for his sister - this is her 2nd husband that died. 1st one had a bad heart and died when their kids were little. Funeral is Saturday. Just shocking.

That is so sad. Sorry to hear this Camille. This past summer was particularly troublesome for Judy and I. We lost 3 friends ourselves this past summer, 2 to Cancer and another to a freak motocross accident... you have to live life to the extreme.

So sorry to hear that Camille. The CMA Song of the Year for 2004 was Tim McGraw's "Live Like You Were Dying". Keith Urbans #1 hit "Days Go By" has the line "the days go by... it's all we've been given so you'd better start livin' right now." It's very true that we are all dying. It's a bit morbid to think of it like that but it would maybe make us live like it.

Please take time to think about it too..(I am sure you are)
As others have mentioned, life is both short and precious. Take the time to live life as you would love to.
Believe it or not...work is only a means to an end, and the end should be enjoying life to it's fullest. I know that you are a lot younger than I am, but trust me, you will realise this truth sooner than you realise.
Again, I am sorry to hear of Bill's and your loss.

if you ever had surgury prior to the upcoming one, have the ANESTHESOLOGIST go back and check on how and what they used to put you under. this will make it better for both of you. i have never been under in 59 years!!! so they had nothing to go on. they sure dont wnat you being awake during surgury so they sometimes go a little over just to make sure. lot of people have no idea what the drugs are they use. prior to my surgury i hada consult with the anesthesiologist, and it took bout and hour of questions and answers. iam sure other here who have been under can tell you the same thing.

Believe me, I know how life is sometimes really takes a left turn. My husband's and my life has not returned to normal since he was dianosed with leukemia in June of 03. He had a stem cell transplant, and is doing great, but our lives will never really be the same. We will always worry about the leukemia coming back. So we now enjoy and are grateful for every day, every sunrise and everything else that makes life worth living.
