Jill, there is so much power in that drawing! I've often thought it not fair to be looking at an art book and on one page there will be an oil painting that took a month to paint and next to it will be a dashing ink line that took seconds yet both bring a gasp from the heart.
I always wear socks by the way!

The drawing I did above came together pretty fast... 20 minutes or so. I did it totally on the digital drawing pad in PhotoShop. I wish all my ideas came together that fast!
Here's the beautiful sketch from Carole...

I haven't done one in a while either so it a good excuse to do one! I don't have a scanner here at home so I took a photo, apologies ifn it takes too long to load...I made it fairly small.

Are we trying to start a war here? Nah guys I'm embarrased I'm so flattered... thanks all!
The National Caricaturist Network has a website where they (used to be me) drew each other's caricatures in a bull board type format. it was a gasser -- just like this.

I'm out of my stick-man league here, but I can't help noticing how some of those great pix of Bob look like they're morphing into Bruce- glasses, beard & moustache, long hair, big forehead, black coffee... ( maybe Parsons & Bowers are really Jeckyl & Hyde !) In Bob's self-portrait he's even wearing Bruce's white shirt, not his own one with a collar!
(get back to work ian...)

Camille, JD3's pic of Bob could easily become a self-portrait for himself, too!
(I'm wondering if I grew a beard, longer hair & got some glasses, whether I'd be that good at drawing too!)

Wowie Zowie... left for a day or two and man... Karen I am a sucker for the quick sketch. Excellent drawing. I reread the oldies and saw that Dan did his on a 'puter. Doesnt have the same squiggle factor as your brush Dan but that's impressive...
I'm going to have my attorney look at this thread to see if perhaps I can start a class action suit against everyone but Jill and Stevo -- they just got revenge, but the rest of you...
