Had a pretty hairy day at work yesterday, and didn't sleep so well. I actually dreamed I had three customers come in at the same time, and all three tried to order a sign at the same time. They were all talking over each other, so I sat them down and made them take turns answering questions, just to be fair to them all!
Is that ridiculous or what? Time for a holiday I'd say!!
Anyone else as weird as me????

I think you are having a mid-life crisis and need to go cruising the Praire in an iris metallic Mustang GT...
If'n that don't cure it, at least you will look good profiling.

Its one of the reasons why I'm heading out to Las Vegas tomorrow (other than the fact that my wife is making me go). It time to clear the cobwebs and dream of showgirls instead.

Sometimes... but not last night. Before I went to bed I was up late letting off some aggressions on the Playstation 2 with a game called "Destroy All Humans"
Last night I dreamed that I was an alien flying over town in his spaceship blowing the crap outta everything in his path and zapping humans with anal probes (all parts of this game, BTW, absolutely hilarious!)

Suelynn . . . is there some situation that your mind is subliminally giving you the resolution for??
I'm afraid to tell this cause then y'all will know fershur I'm 'certifiabley insane' . . . . .
I can recall a few things I dreamed about making, but I get most 'pictures' popping in my head during waking hours. Never know when it's coming. They last all of one second. I try to stop and write as many details of the image as I can. They are not usually related to anything I'm seeing or doing, but sometimes I get great pictures from something someone said. Sometimes, the image will be just the answer I need for something I have had in the back of my mind to do.
I get very frustrated and beat myself up when this happens at inopportune times to write it down, I'm 'too busy' to write it down, or stuck with nothing to write with.
I also get frustrated because I instantly crave making what I see, but then I dwell on the financial aspect of un-paid time spent making things for personal creativity that might not sell, etc.
I get really overwhelmed and depressed by my responsibilities and daily grind that prevents me from making these things happen.
The 'picture' may contain a few elements or be very detailed. It may be people. It's always obvious what medium the picture is done in whether a quilt, photography, sculpture, or a watercolour, oil, glass, mosaic, etc. Sometimes I can 'dwell' on it and 'see' the steps to create it.
If I had been able to write down every one I've ever had, I would have a trunk-full of notes, and if ever took all the little notes I actually do have and made these things, I'd probably be at it 24-7 for 5 years.

Just kidding, I know exactly what you mean, except mine come as abstract thoughts and ideas that look too cool to explain to people or recreate when I actually sit down to do it.

He's a southerner Dave, I hear the lifestyle's a little slower down there I don't dream often, but it's about work more often than not. I've come up with some great ideas and solutions in my dreams. Sometimes, I even remember them and write them down when I wake up. My wife has found me pounding away at the keyboard at 2,3 or even 5 o'clock in the morning wondering what the hell am I doing. When an idea hits, you gotta run with it

A few months back, I had a dream that I was waitressing again.(I waitressed for about 10 years) Well, in my dream, I was really busy waitressing, having a rough day. Then I thought to myself, "What am I doing here, I'm a signpainter, I don't need this crap" That was a good dream.

Wow, Alicia, I was just about to write the same thing. On occasion, I do have dreams about nightmare sign customers. But more often than not, I find myself dreaming I'm waitressing in a diner full of irate rude customers, just like when I did it in real life back in 1980. Love....Jill

Dreams.... for me is the other life, while asleep. I've always dreampt alot, and most always remember them, they are "as clear as real life is" Opps, what does that say??? lol
I have signshops(composites of real shops and made up ones), houses(they age with the years), the usual "driving to fast, can't see over the dashboard, can't quite reach the pedals", you know, the usual. I tell ya, sleep/dream time is usually Very Busy! then there are the "slow times", who knows why?
All in all, it's an adventure, but i find that most people don't really want to hear all about my dreams??? LOL!
