Well yes, since you brought it up. I suspected pure animal sex (but without animals involved) but I could be wrong. Bob I loved the "...I had to take him out with One Shot" that you did for the Guffer. You're one sick puppy; keep up the great work.

Ricky... If you seen the Guffer's cartoon you've been on hallowed ground (Guff's House) I'll see if Guff will release the story and the cartoon -- Awesome story about a grizzly bear encounter -- ok cartoon.

I have not been on this bull board in a long time. You're right never posted anything till this year. I'm slow to develop new habits AND have rightfully been afraid of how much time I could spend here dinkin' around with my sign pals. How do you leave without feeling like you're walking out of Mazeppa?

Oh Bob! You hit that nail on the head. I wake up in the morning, start my coffee, check my email and sign on to Letterville! The last thing I do before I go to sleep at night is sign off of Letterville! Everytime I walk past my computer (then again, I'm usually sitting here all day), I refresh the page.
I just got lucky to have found a job that pays me to be home sitting at my computer! LOL
Now chat is a whole other story...at least I have my laptop and hang out on the couch watching baseball games with my husband while I'm in chat otherwise he might be just about ready to leave me! Hahahahahahahahaha

Oh yeah Gene, Signcraft took a soaking on that book. I think they printed 2000 copies. There must be about 1900 left. I didn't think they would sell many. I told them to wait till they sold out and then send me the royalty check for the whole thing. At first they were sending me the royalty check every month. It was too embarassing going to the bank with a check for a $1.35! LOL

Bob, it is so wonderful to see the artist post his work here on the BB!!!! I am sure there are many Letterheads on here (or lurking) that can do a bit of caricatures, but are afriad. This could be inspirational!!!
I can't remember last time, oh yea! Once at an auction, I sat there & drew caricatures of the people running the auction. Back-woods folk they were, & I had a blast!

I alway enjoy every single cartoon I see of Bob's.
It was a pleasure to finally meet Bob face to face in Mazeppa.
There are so few folks out there who THINK in cartoon... I'd LOVE to do a project with a group of these guys... IMAGINE what could possibly happen with Steve Greer, John Deaton, Bob Parsons and myself and free reign on a project...

Hey Crew I am the Steve Greer part of the above equation....
Dann Lets do it. I am due for a new panel for my shop. I will start by lets say the panels (which I have in my shop from Marj) I will toon them a pic. each and then you are responsible to ship it to the person furthesat away from where you live. That way it is fair for everyone.
If John and Bob are on board lets get it done. I will ship to Bob.....Bob to John......John to you......You to me.
Let me know

That sounds like fun Steve. Dan has to be the last to get them. No way do I want to follow that guy. You do know that the guy is insane don't you? All you have to do is look at his portfolio...certifiably wacked.

I'd like to see "The Parson's Clan" take to the road visiting shops everywhere and Bob doing his humerous anecdotes of folks and situations we all know and are touched by and him publishing them and charging a yearly fee for subscribers.
The first cartoon could be dealing with a hungry artist family because of the "humor pirates."

Wow Rick, in the words of Rocky Balboa, "You be ma manager?" I've been thinking along those lines these days. I love the sign trade -- specifically the people in the sign trade. There's no group of folks like 'em in the world.
I hate to be bold, brash and blatantly crude, but would your pregnant question be a subject all it's own? I'd love the feedback on that.

Bob, c'mon down and start your tour here. We certainly have our share of humerous moments during the course of a day. Jessie can borrow a wet suit and swim and we'll find a way to feed the tribe.
I remember when I got a note from a signwriter friend in San Jose asking if I'd front some money for a semi monthly newsletter/teaching with some handlettered fonts. This was before computers. There were a few of us that agreed to front the bucks and soon we started getting our installments of The Mike Stevens Journal. These became something I'd anticipate as I watched my mail and it became dearer than Sign Craft.
As the years went by, Mike turned the journals into a book that many feel to be the most important document alive today dealing with layout principles.
I'd like to be part of the group that encourages you to get something regular going that keeps us teased and encouraged and laughing at ourselves ina constructive way. Bob, you have the track record already. Define what you want to do and throw it out there and give us our moneys worth!

Only knowing Stevo from Letterville pics, I often thought he looked a lot like Jeff Goldbume, but lately, in some of the meet pics...don't he look a lot like a young Larry King??? LOL
