Trying to buy Corel 12 on Ebay and am and confused. One is selling what they say is a full version but are also saying it is an academic version. Is this OK? One is saying full version, not academic, for about twice as much $. Any advice would be appreciated. Tried Corel web-site but am so ignorant when it comes to computer jargon, I haven't got a clue what is what.

Academic versions are for use by educational institutions and students. They are the same full feature programs as the "regular" ones.
Usually to buy the academic version, you must prove that you are somehow involved with an educational institution, ie: report card, student ID, class schedule, note from your mother, note from your buddy saying it's from your mother...

The only difference is that the acedemic version does not include any manuals..
You can purchase the manulas along with it ,, but they will cost you more than the regular version..
