October 13-15 2006 (don't show up THIS October) at Wizard Sign Studio in Suwanee, Georgia and hosted by Sonny Franks and Bob Bretschneider.
In addition to the usual panel jam, gold-leaf demos, airbrushing and pinstriping, we'll also have a tattoo artist (anybody want a Letterhead tattoo across your fanny?) an ice carving demo, a juggling seminar and many more surprises. The city of Suwanee is interested in working with us on a mural project, and we also want to make sure the vinyl jockies are welcome with digital and design seminars planned.
We like the laid-back feel Donald Thompson has established with his last 3 Dixie meets and we're going to continue the tradition. We have several sponsors to cover the food so we'll try to keep the registration FREE. With that in mind, there's NO EXCUSE not to mark your calendars for October 2006 - we're just outside Atlanta so plan on staying a few days - catch a game, a concert, or the Laser Show at Stone Mountain. North Georgia and its Fall foliage should also be peaking then. Come on down (or over, or up) We'll leave the light on for ya......

I don't know if I could only drive 200 miles to a meet. Maybe when we get close to Atlanta, I will let Ryan drive on the loop around Atlanta for a few hundred miles. I will be there and will help any way I can.

Great! Putting it on my calendar...I like having meets close enough to drive. It's 216 miles for me,Donald. See yall there! Let us know if we can do anything to help Sonny! Judy & Roger

More of the meet planners and host/hostesses shoud request monitary donations from some of the manufacturers and suppliers, Rapid Tac will be up for that as well as free sample hand outs !

George, you're absolutely right - let's just call it what it is! I hope you'll be there and we get to meet your new bride.
Roger, as always, your generosity is overwhelming. My Rapid-Tac hat is still my favorite. We'll definitely be in touch.
Ricky, it does seem a long way off, but everyone who's given us advice said to go at least a year in advance. I started looking at the upcoming schedules and things are booking up fast. There are 3 meets next month, so it appears Letterheads has switched to high gear. I'm worried about containing my excitement for that long.
Timi, I could turn you and Sheila loose on the mural knowing the finished product would be mind-boggling. Once the design is completed, can you help us on the layout?

I think I will check & see if it is anywhere near the Octoberfest time in Daytona, & maybe my hubby will agree, & we can 2 things at once!
Haven't checked yet, but I think they've moved Octoberfest next year to be sometime in October. I think a lot of folks are upset about the schedule change, so you're not alone.

OP, I've been around here for quite a while and can honestly say that I don't know a single person who don't like you. A lot who disagree with your views, but none that don't like you.

Sonny; Sounds like the makings of another fine event, one I'd like to attend. If the past is an indicator, I'll reserve option to say I'm coming till such time I can guarnatee that statement, so far this year, I'm batting zip.....hopefully that will change by then, it isn't like it's just around the corner or something..... Don, speak for yourself, personally I find OP very likeable....fooled ya huh? Never met the man personal like, but his deameanor and personalitity speak volumes of his stature here...always a pleasure to DEBATE anything w/Joe, find him a wealth of knowledge and useless trivia,LOL, like Bruce, I delight in "lighting" him up.....OP's OK by ME!!! Now...why is the killer's face on your artwork? Can't for the life of me concieve anything we are about that he might have the remotest relationship to...

Damn Don, do I gotta spell it out? Don't want to spend one moment that might be conscrued, even remotely, as pro-simpson, what a disgusting human being...
Now!!! Jerry Lee, until her married his first cousin, was the "Killer." Still feel the electricity when I hear one of his hard-hitting songs, his piano work was incredible...his pic would have made total sense...heheh, sorta poetic also...lol...the rebels most of us are...

Don't worry - we'll have an officially designated Waffle House for the meet.
Dan, thanks for your continued support of Letterheads. Glad to know you'll be there and can help translate for Sheila.
Rick, just hop in the car and pick up Frank along the way - you could also visit Jake while you're on this side of the country.
Hugh - guess we better change that to "ARSE"
With Sandy and the Butlers, we'll have an Indian and some Indianans.
Donna,as Sheila said, that's O.J. - I tried to incorporate many of the most recognizable cultural icons that have influenced me (us) over the years, for better or worse. I was trying to think of someone to put over "carvers" and he came to mind. Also included are Bill the Cat (my favorite) and Mr. Natural from the old Zap Comics and R. Crumb days.(Judy thought it was Si) Rhett and Scarlett seemed appropriate for a Southern meet, and the clown at the top is a really creepy picture from a Sturgis Bike Rally t-shirt. We also have Elvis, Einstein, Goofy, Homer and King Tut. Red Baron Snoopy is flying the plane with the banner (hard to see on such a small print)
