I am posting this for my niece who can't seem to get logged in.
I bought my plotter second hand w/ the computer that ran it, was never given the original drivers. Was my first plotter, and did not know any better. My computer crashed last week, and now I am having to start from scratch. Got Windows XP, but the drivers downloaded from the internet will not work on Windows XP w/o the original plotter driver, it keeps demanding the GRC plotter driver for Windows 95, which I do not have. I called sign warehouse to find the drivers, and they will not let me have the drivers w/o a transfer of ownership at $250, I no longer know how to get in touch w/ the guy I bought the equipment from, but according to the sign warehouse guy he didn't buy it straight from them and I will have to hunt down the guy that my guy bought it from so that we can do a transfer of ownership.(not possible..I'm in Georgia, they are in Florida) So I was hoping that someone knew another place to download the original drivers from.
The plotter is a Vinyl Express, GRC-76S.
Any help would be appreciated, greatly appreciated.

do a search on here for Roland Driver sources and if that doesnt work search under Dave Grundys name for the similar topic,9.9 times out of 10 they work fine with the VE.

Another reason why not to buy the "other" cheaper brand of plotter from an exclusive dealer.
Not the original buyer, $250 bux to transfer ownership, sheesh.. What a way to shoot yourelf in the foot..

I'm pretty sure she is trying to cut from Corel Draw 12. She has been trying to go to school full time and still make a living doing signs. Now her truck is broke down. She has spent so much money trying to upgrade and has had bad luck after worse luck, I was hoping we might be able to come up with someway of getting a driver for XP, or if there is some other way of getting the plotter to work that we are missing?...Gavin suggests a Roland driver...how do we know which ones to try? Hope that doesn't seem dense...I'm much better using a computer than trying to fix one, lol. Thanks for any and all help. Steph's Aunt Kymi

Why don't you try and get in touch with one of the brothers that owns Signwarehouse and explain the situation to them, I bet they send it for free.

I talked to my tech a signwarehouse....and while he wasn't 100% he believes there is no driver that will work directly with corel draw for this plotter series.

Kymi,no offense to anyone here but either pm,email, or start a thread for dave grundy or old paint, they can tell you where to find the roland drivers. I have one that works with mine, after the techs from signwarehouse told me it wouldnt work, but i have a 24" GRC series VE and you need the corresponding one for a 30". Both posted the links here long ago and maybe you have more luck using the search function for it than i did, maybe i missed it,i know theyve both updated to XP and cut from corel with rolands.

You'll have to search around for the driver page and find the drivers for "Camm 1" cutters.
I'd recommend using the Japanese site for the downloads. I have always had better success with their drivers.
Gavin...which driver are you using for the 24" Vinyl Express model? If it works for you then all Kymi should have to do is download the same driver and select the 30" model when installing.
