Also, anything with Edward G Robinson or Charles Laughton in is just fine with me. Proper film stars.

Hey Doug, who is your favorite character in the Good, the Bad & the Ugly??? Mine is Touco! I just love his shifty eyes, & the part when "Blondie" has him him tied up hauling him in... "Your mother ...." I know, it is awful, but it cracks me up everytime I see it! [Rolling On The Floor]

Oh there's SO many ...and basically ANYTHING with Tommy Lee Jones, Sam Elliot, or Robert Duvall. . . [Wink]

Anyway, just a few here and a mention of some of the stars to jog your memory:

Yep! Shaw Shank Redemption IS a great movie!

~The Three Musketeers (with Charlie Sheen, Oliver Platt, & Keifer Sutherland, Tim Curry, Rebecca DeMornay & Gabrielle Anwar)
(the sound track theme song with Rod Stewart, Brian Adams & Sting is awesome too)

~Elizabeth (Kate Blanchette)

~Lonesome Dove (the first one (as far as I'm concerned, the ONLY one)
Robert Duvall, Tommy Lee Jones

~Cowboy Way (Keifer Sutherland)

~Buffalo Girls (Angelica Houston, Melanie Griffith, Jack Palance)

Men in Black (1) (Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones)

Married to the Mob (Michelle Phifer)

One Fine Day (Michelle Phifer, George Clooney)

RatRace (Buncha funny people . . .lol)

Fried Green Tomatoes (Kathy Bates)

Princess Bride (" " ")

Everafter (Drew Barrymoore)

Ground-hog Day (Bill Murray)

Schindler's List (Liam Neison)

Good Ol' Boys (Tommy Lee Jones, Sissy Spacek)

(The Cook, the Ranger &) The Hole in the Sky
(Sam Elliot)

First Knight (Richard Gere)

Braveheart (Mel Gibson)

Slingblade (Billy Bob Thornton)

A Far Away Place (Reese Witherspoon)

Far & Away (Cruise & Kidman)

Batman Forever (Val Kilmer, Tommy Lee Jones)

While You Were Sleeping (Sandra Bullock)

Blink (Madeline Stowe - Incredible soundtrack too -with The Dover's)

Serendipity (John Cusak)

Does anyone remember 'Sunshine' with Tom Hayden? I'd love to see that movie again. It got overshadowed by 'Love Story' in those days which was'nt near as good as 'Sunshine', but was a good flick too . . .

I have several documentary videos that are awesome. Just a few of my favs are:

The History of the Globe Trotters

The Marx Brothers (A history)

Micro-cosmos (An awesome nature flick)

The Living Desert

I'll watch any of these, anytime while layed back on the couch . . .never get tired of 'em . . .

I have fallen in love with the Monster's Inc. Movie.

We also have the Incredibles and Shrek 1 and 2.

I love watching these animated delights and noticing all the work that went into them. Toy Story 1 and 2 was kewl too!

(Pixar so rules) [Big Grin] (especially with a grandchild who will giggle at anything they can animate!)

I love comedies, love stories and suspense films. Family man and Raizing Arizona are two of my favorites LOL

My hubbie is a Stargate SG1 fan and collector.

Recently saw National Treasure and loved that.

I love to gt the DVD's and see the funnies they make on the side.

For instance in Shark Tales, there's a spin with Gino the Whale,
in Monter's Inc., look for Mike's New Car,
and in the Incredibles, the one to see is Jack-Jack Attack...LOL.

Fred, I completly forgot about the Gods Must Be Crazy -- funny stuff!

Pat, I can't remember if I saw Witness for the Prosecution, who was in it?

I completly agree Barbarians at the Gate great movie! Here are some classic quotes...

F. Ross Johnson: Tastes like sh*t and smells like a fart! Got ourselves a real winner here! It's one God damn unique advertising slogan, I'll give you that.
-----
Scientist: Well, of all the groups we tested, the response to Premiere was just about uniform.
Ed Horrigan: They all said they tasted like sh*t.
F. Ross Johnson: Like sh*t?!
Scientist: Sh*t was the consensus, yes, sir.
-----
F. Ross Johnson: We've spent three-hundred-and-fifty million dollars, and we've come up with a turd with a tip?
