I hope nobody here has been personally affected by the apparent bombs in the London transit system. I wish the best for those that have.

I wish we could just paint the terrorists out of the picture, but we can't. My thoughts and prayers go to London. It seems a shame after getting the Olympics the other day, then this! I'm sure there will be a memorial at the 2012 Olympics for all those affected by this and other terrorist acts around the world. Why can't we all just get along?

All good and decent people are Londoners today.
Well said.

I just spoke on the phone with a friend currently in London. He said that the emergency personnel were do the work of true heroes. He told me how the people there were pulling together and helping each other. It reminded him of how New Yorkers were after the attack on 9/11.
As for Ken Livingstone, I'm sorry but the man is full of himself. For those of you who don't know much about him, he offered his support to Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradaw, a Muslim cleric who supports terrorism and suicide bombers. Last February, Livingstone defended Al-Qaradaw after the cleric's comments and called him a "man of peace" and a "moderate". Al-Qaradawi's theological justification for suicide bombings is entitled, "Hamas Operations Are Jihad and Those Who (Carry it Out and) Are Killed are Considered Martyrs."
Respectfully, I have a great deal of respect, support and sympathy for the victims and for London. But, Livingstone will get none from me.
