Hi everyone I bought Vector art's's Mike sheehan classic borders collection, but I don't have any parchment (or scroll) style borders and I need one for my present project. I do need to broaden my borders collection so if you have any quick suggestions, just tell me, I do intend to buy them. So if you know of a letterville merchant who sells those please let me know!

Daniel,

I have a number of "scroll" images. (Not to mention 100,000 more)

Click this link to see them.

Let me know what you think! [Smile]

Daniel, check out "ClickArt" I got mine at Office Max for about $70 It has 20 cd's worth & all are indexed fairly well in a printed book. They are not vinyl ready like Peter's, & of course are not a merchant, but if he doesn't have what you need, it is a nice resource & they have tons of borders. I do believe they have a few of what I think you mean.

Peter, since he said scroll "border", I'm not sure if the scrolls you link to are what he needs. I did try searching "borders" in your website & found 13 pages worth, but none with the parchment look.

Daniel did you mean a border that implies curled up edges... maybe torn or distressed... shaded maybe for more antiquing & 3D look... with large (page size?) space in the center for your message that could look like something out of a message in a bottle, or buried treasure?? Maybe not, but thats what I was thinking of [Smile]

Sheila,

Boy, you sure know how to stump a guy. [Smile]

I dont have a single image that matches the keywords "flourishes, filigree, or ornaments". HOWEVER... i'm sure I've got images that match what you need, you'll just have to search through keywords like "flag" or "border" to find them.

BTW: I actually had to look up the word flourishes and filigree... (silly me) [Smile]

Thanks for askn!

Peter

Thank you all, peter I'll get some of your art, although I'm not so much into vinyl yet, I stick to wooden panels (by preference) for now, I know from watching many posts on the subject regularly that I'll have to get busy with the plotters soon if I want my business to grow. I just need the $$$ to pile-up some more to buy the equipment... [Smile]

How do you post corel work ? I'd like to show you what I finally manage to do with the little "débrouillardise" (can not remember the English word for this). This guy wanted his logo and business cards yesterday... SO I had to give him something! But I'll use your input in the next project which also includes ribbons and parchment.

LOVE YOU ALL!

Thanks Si, you have been very helpful to me , not mentioning you voted for one of my signs. (thanks). [Smile]

You know what, in this line of work you encounter people who don't have an idea what they need or want. Let me rephrase, they want something real bad but it's not always suitable for their business and they make me lose so much time figuring themselves out .
 -

Any ways, this customer had to come to my office to work on his logo and sign. The scroll thing was not what he wanted anymore. The music notes and all were his idea, he loved them at first but now they had to go (what a relief, they looked like spiders crawling the sign ) I worked real hard to get a scroll design that worked for me(top picture) but he looked across my portfolio and saw a sign I did for a shoe store a while back and this time ( I showed him that design a dozen times so far ) flipped over the shape and a little paisley design(bottom picture)I putted in. so it took 10 minutes to put his name and a few keywords to have a sign for this guy. He even wanted the same colors. Any ways I'll use the scroll on another job soon!!!I never work for nothing !!!
