Just think about it... -A couple two three times a day, you see someone here stressing because their plotter quit working or their computer is doing weird, random stuff and someone else will totally solve their problem. -Answers to questions for every technique and material from Gold Leaf, glue chipped glass and abalone to coroplast and foamcore board and removing grime from surfaces. -Someone else will vent HERE, not on the customer, about some jerko customer who is driving them nuts. -Someone else will start a fund for someone who is suffering through a life altering time in their world. -Someone gets wished happy something by 30 to 50 people they have maybe never met face to face but know pretty well. -Someone tells about their "other life" of music, racing, cooking, nutritional info, movies they have seen, deaths or births in the family, etc. -There are friendships established with people you have never met in places you have never been to. -There are OT jokes, stories, things that will make you cry, inspiring quotes and factual information.....
AIN'T THIS PLACE GREAT!! Thanks to ALL of you. ESPECIALLY to Barb & Steve for putting this out there for all of us to enjoy and PUTTING UP WITH some of the stuff that goes on here. Just thought they could use a little pat on the back.

It's so funny Jane...chances are when something happens in my life, one of my first thoughts is to tell you guys about it. Weird, huh? I haven't "met" the vast majority of you but yes, I feel as if I know you.
I'm often asked about the artwork in my house to which I usually reply - my father was an artist. It's hard to explain what he did so I usually don't elaborate - you guys just understand.
When someone asks where I'm going on vacation I usually mention something to the effect of...Well, there's a group of artists that my father knew and they're getting together and I'm going to go. - Kind of the simplistic version but it's hard to describe a meet to an outsider.

All of the things you've said plus the inspiration I get from the people here.
This place has inspired and continues to inspire me to do better work, learn more skills, charge better prices, improve my shop, offer new products, try new ideas, etc. etc. Priceless!

Compared to most of the regulars, I'm the newest of the new, but the time I've spent has been well worth it. I like the common sense that prevails here. No matter the topic I usually learn something or get a good laugh. Being in the midst of a sea of experienced signmakers is humbling, but exciting at the same time.

I am really impressed with everything on this site and respect the many talented artists who freely give advice to help each other in their time of need.
I have received help after posting my questions and hope to return the favor whenever I can contribute.
Now if I could just get Steve or Barb to answer my E mail I'd send my $50 bucks and become a "REAL" member! Hello........?
