I sent in my registration to Periandros last week - any seats left in the club car? Terry Colley and lovely wife Bridget said they would stock some Guinness for the ride. ALL ABOARD.

THANX DAVID!! You really know how to 'deck-out' a train!! He even used our member numbers on the boxcars!!
Gonna soon try to attach a pic of my daughter who will be traveling with me!!
Now ...let's see... I know THREE Greek words...
~ya'sue (Means goodbye if you're leaving and I THINK also hello if you're arriving...
~pap'ootsie...(but does that means shoe or watermelon?)
~Ritsina (sp?) (Greek 'moonshine' that makes vodka seem like water?)
My parents were stationed there for about 10 years (1950 something through 1963, when we came to the states and I was only one. But when I was growing up my dad kissed my mom goodbye every single morning and they said 'yasu' to one another . . .
There was a clear glass jar which held about a half a pint of Ritsina(sp) which I suppose my Mom smuggled back with her...it set on a top shelf in the kitchen cabinet for years and years...it was highly potent and I'm amazed that it did'nt melt the glass...I think my brother tried to drink it in 2003 when my Mom died.
I have lots of old black and white photos of the white stucco houses with wrought iron where they lived, and of the parties my parents had on the beach roasting lambs...

David, I can't believe someone would take my flag! You know this trip wouldn't be near as much fun without a few Canadians on board. So are you going to give me a clue?

Hahahaha...I'd better get Dusty a passport if she's gonna go with you guys. Make sure and take good care of her - lots of love - and she'll protect you.
Unfortunately, Pennsylvania is as far east as I'm gonna get this summer. :-)

Jeff & I and our kids, Kate and Mark are looking forward to our first ever trip over the big pond!! I'm anxiously awaiting my pkg for the mural project that we'll be working on and Jeff is gearing up to talk about making signs and making money! My brother who is a world traveller made a funny comment when he heard we would be in Greece in August. He said, "there won't even be a thread of shade!"

Periandros, at the throttle, has got this train rolling so get ready folks..and we mean all of you...you don't need a ticket to get on board with the fun here so pay attention...you just might win yourself a "MAJOR PRIZE" along the way. Elaine we'll pick you and yours up at our next stop so be ready.

We've picked up two more passengers. Carole and Catherine, from Williamstown, Ontario, will be travelling with us to Greece. When I told them the first leg of our journey would be on a train, they were just a tad mystified...but always the adventurers, these girls simply said, "Why not!"

This train is still running and we're still boarding passengers and having some fun. Jane Diaz was the winner of our first contest and as a result of that we are stopping this train in her town of Pontiac, Illinois for a spell. So if you would like for us to bring this train to your town next simply be the 3rd person to answer this question correctly and we'll have Periandros engineer this train your way. Contest #2...name the prison that is forever immortalized with these lyrics "I hear that train a coming it's a rolling round the bend"

Hey David, What a ride! Glad to see my flag back, but never know where the link will take me next. I think I know the answer to train question #2. Where do I post my answer?

Judy...pretty creative voting...it's worth bonus points in some parts of the world I'm sure...just not here. Don Coplen was our winner with his third place correct answer of Folsom Prison. Now you all should know that you don't have to be going to Greece to play this game...you just have to have a sense of humor...and a computer...and a maybe a dog..and that's all you need. So stand by while we figure out what to do next. http://www.davidbutler.com/greece.html

To where else do you want answers sent in...? Or, are you going to moniter your e-mail, PM's, IM's, and this thread simultaneously for 3rd-person answers? Is there a 1-800 call-in line?? Is the train goin' all the way down to Florida now?? Can we please stop in Albany and pick up Judy??
