The customer chose this doodle for his design, but he wants his name to run through the centre. I'm not getting anywhere with it, and I've spent far too much time. Has any one got an idea. They want the words Metz Holdings Ltd to run through the centre of the design. I've tried scrolls, bars, outlines - nothing is working.
Any Hope? Type of font suggestions - I've backed myself into the corner on this one. All I see is ugly....

Sometimes it helps to give people what they want - so they can see the mistake. Some people can't see that a square peg won't fit a round hole until the two are in very close proximity.
My mind wanders. And that's not a good thing, 'cause it's too small to be out there alone. Posts: 3129 | From: Tooele, UT | Registered: Mar 2005

Can you get them to let you redesign the doodle thing...becauese right now Don Coplens suggestion is the best, and will require a 4x6 for three inch copy on the name. I find it to be very impractical for anything at all. especially small stuff, and the re is too much line confusion. I just did an ambulance service that paid big bucks for a DESIGN that was crap. they were married to their concept, but I managed to pry control outta their fingers long enough to streamline what they had. Now they think we hung the moon.

Thanks guys. I never thought of toning the image down Jon, that helps. I guess on a black and white version you could go to a 30% grey.
Don, I like what you did better than anything I have seen so far.
I may be able to take the concept and reverse it, so the wheat is to the left of the lettering. Then I could just carry the name on from the letters. Serves me right for letting them see it.
How come they didn't pick one of the nicer ones like this one?

The last one's really nice, Kelly. Don't ya hate it when you start with something, spend time improving on it, only to have the customer pick the first thing you came up with?!?
