Got anything fun going on this weekend? If you're working...are you working on a cool sign project?
Still haven't decided what I'm going to do this weekend, probably tackle the very dusty 84 crystal glasses in the cabinet in my dining room. We've had so many bad sand storms this week that they look just awful!
Don't worry, I'll find something fun to do too!

Yep, I'm gonna ride a new bike, a sexy Eyetalian Ducati Sport Tourer. It's been crummy here for awhile and I only got this last weekend but I need the distraction from the biz and it looks like this thing will do the job. Besides, I have no crystal to polish.

YES! Maybe most people would think me crazy, but I plan a Codyless day to help my friend lay down his laminate flooring through the entire house. I LOVE construction and renovating and I've always wanted to learn how to do this! Crazy yes? I'm excited! LOLOL

Hahahaha...believe it or not - we use ours all the time! We chose a pattern when we got married that luckily we still love as much as the day we picked it.
Life's too short to not use the good stuff if you have it, right?

We have the whole weekend off, no hockey, no ball, nothin! I'm looking forward to getting out in the yard, clean off the back patio, now that the last bit of snow is gone. We are invited out for supper tonight for a friends birthday, and then to my Mom's tommorrow night...no cooking for me!! Should be a real test for my weight watchers...week #3, so far so good!!!
Have a great weekend. Suelynn

My inlaws have this 4000 sq ft house with all these rooms and beautiful things that never get touched. They get enjoyment out of 'looking' at their museum so for them that's why they have it and I'm happy for them.
It's hard for me to relate to though. When I buy something, I'm ripping it out of the bag before I get home or wearing it before the tag comes off. Cody wore his brand new runners out of the store yesterday. LOL

I'll probably go to the auction on Saturday night up in Herman. (Mars meet attendees might remember Wally the auctioneer) It's free, it's fun, there's cheap neat stuff, and I'd go just to look at the Butlerites. I got Stevo a waterfall-front 1930s dresser there two weeks ago for $6. Next weekend we will have an envelope-stuffing party for my brother's re-election campaign. Faye and I just went and picked up his signs today. Love....Jill

Hey David, darning socks is for sissies. I could have two doillies done by the time I even thread those tiny needle holes. Besides, a guy can only floss his bike for so long. I'm almost out anyway.

Not quite sure what got me motivated but I decided to cook a realy nice dinner for tonight.
Veal scallops sauteed with mushrooms in a Vermouth cream sauce. Not sure what I'm going to make with it yet but I baked off a beautiful lemon meringue pie for dessert.

I was going to Dixie but could not get over sinus infections...
Feel only slightly better today, but started my usual Saturday house cleaning routine...Emily helped a lot and it's DONE, so I have the whole day to do whatever...I'll also finally gonna do that gold leaf job I've been putting off all week...
If I have any energy left, I'll take Em' and dogs walking, and Em' to her favorite chinese restaurant later.
It's beautiful and sunny and about 70 here today and that automatically makes me feel better!!

Leafing while it's 70 degrees out on the weekend? Time to see a therapist. As a practicing amateur in the field I suggest a hobby that doesn't involve signs in any way shape or form, household chores, or vehicle maintenance. If you are tired you can always drink beer and watch the NASCAR races!

I had the BEST long weekend! My weekend started on Wednesday night last week, when I picked a couple of my girlfriends up at the airport, coming in from Minnesota.
We rented a convertable, and the fun began! The weather really cooperated for us too. Sunny, breezy and around 78 degrees! Just couldn't get better than that!
We explored the beaches, all the way south to Anna Maria Island, Longboat Key and St. Armond's Circle. What a BLAST!!!! Yesterday we went out on a boat with friends.
I drug myself out of bed this morning at the wee hour of 5am to say farewell to my friends who are going back to MN ... mighty tired but with sunburned smiling faces!
Wow! That was fun. Now it's back to reality, ... work and taxes! What a switch in gears. hahahaa

Naturally, I would have loved to make it to the Dixie meet. But, I did polish some crystal too: My daughter's fruit bowl as we polished off the apples from it too.
I finally did something this weekend as I've been lately moping around with tennis elbow and wrist problems! Yes, I did play tennis in the past, but, it's not from that! Sat, I took my 14 mo. great niece out for a walk in the sunny 70 degree temps on Sat. We visited the neighbor dogs and that was her big thrill barking back at them. Then on Sunday, I joined my daughter and her girlfriend and their five daughters (my three grandd.) to see "Annie, Jr." put on by the children's theatre. All the cast was from 6 yrs old to 13. You wouldn't believe the talent and voices! The part of the mean orphanage mistress was played by a 12 year old that seemed to be at least 19 or 20! She performs at most functions for the community since she is astounding. They were all delightful and you could tell they all loved the stage.
The kids made their own stage sets, and when the door wouldn't open to Daddy Warbucks house (as the fake parents were coming to claim Annie), they adlibbed a hilarious part into the play, remarking what an interesting door it was! I thought the whole set was going to fall! I thought it was going to come down! What naturals. Later that evening my 17 yr old son and I had eggrolls at Chili's and then attended a guitar church service at a small out of the way church. Kind of a simple weekend, but just what I needed.
