I have one and I like it lots I think it is a good place to start. I do think I will be buying a Roland SOLJET PRO II V - SC-545 EX and when I do get this I am sure I will keep the Summa.

Hiya John, I purchased one in January. So far, it's a good little machine. It will make a good starter cutter and more. I like the fact that it is inclusive. It has just about everything to get you started, except vinyl and design software. It integrates with Corel Draw so you can access the cutting software with one click of the button. I haven't tried cutting anything long (10'+) yet, but it seems to track very well.
Havin' fun,

Awesome, badassed little sucker with incredible tech support that you will probably never need. We just bought another one and had a MINOR problem that I'm pretty sure I caused. No questions asked, they sent out a new one.
We routinely send 50' cut jobs to them and never have a problem with tracking. We've gone as far as to cut entire 50 yard rolls now and nothing but happiness. Best money we've ever spent!

You made the right choice. I always recommend SUMMA machines. I work for SUMMA here in Romania as Operational Manager and I know very well their machines. Catalin

I started my business with mine and built a stand for it. That was 5 yrs ago and it is much quieter than my old Gerber cutter and about 10 times faster. I like the fact that I can use all sorts of scraps on it and it works with USB connections. I'd buy one again if I needed another and don't think you can go wrong with it. I was using it this morning and I've cut 20-30 feet at a time without any problems.

I've had a D-60 Summa for about two years now and it's bulletproof. Never any problems except when I bought "super" blades that didn't work. I got the factory blades and they last about 4 months each. Can't say enough good about this little cutter.
