Awlright.. I gotta know where some of these weird phrases come from..
Twice this week, I used the phrase "pick your brain"... sounds kinda gross, I imagine someone poking into somebody else's brain kinda like picking at a festering scab, which we all know does not have a pleasant result (aside from the immediate relief that follows the sharp pain as the flesh rips open)..

Substitute the word 'choose' for the word 'pick'. i.e. I 'choose (pick) your brain' to help me solve this problem.
That's my guess, anyone else?
I'm with Si on this one, get out of the sun and into a box of twinkies, you are dilerious...lol

I dunno about the root of the expression, but it sure would have made a good line in The Shining when Jack Nicholson had his face squeezed into the partially opened doorway. Then again Anthony Hopkins could probably have slipped it in with greater ease in Silence of the Lambs and got away with it.

I think that saying sounds gross too Pimp . . .it's a saying I never use and always makes me feel like I need be scared when someone says that to me . . .I think the saying 'jump your bones' is from the same person and is gross too and creates a very un-appealing image of someone who want's to screw a skeleton . . .
I think all the sayings like this originated from Dr. Frankenstien or somethin' . . . .
