I am doing 25-30 white vinyl logos, all must be digitized, in one color for RTA vinyl. Most of the logos are pretty basic, some are complex. They are all 8 inches high and anywhere from 8 to 25 inches long. Would you charge for the linear foot or per hour or both? Is there a way to charge for the design work in a simple per linear foot way? How much would you charge?
Thank You!

unless they will be repeat orders, charge one price for the production, because the easy ones are cheaper, the complex ones more expensive.. but unless they reorder in different groupings or quantities... just guess your time & material & quote based on your material mark-ups & your shop rate.
The digitising work is harder for me to bid, because as much as I've done that... I've weeded a lot more & feel more accurate with my guesstimates weeding. Sometimes I will agree to 3 or 4 for a price & then get a deposit & agree to bid the other 20 -25 after timing myself. I explain that this is to possibly provide them a lower price. If they won't do that, you have to bid based on them being the worst case p.i.t.a.

We price digitizing the logos individually, based on what kind of time each would take. Same thing goes for cutting and weeding. Some logos can weed in seconds, some take forever.
If you've got a list of the logos check one of the big vectored logo sites and see how many of them you can find already vectorized, just don't forget to charge the customer for that service too.
