Actually, Pat...

This thing does appear to be in use in the real world. A couple of the pics in this pdf are kinda funny, too.

Here's a bit more on the story. It seems that no-one could break the glass...but frame was a different story.

You don't think they put real bills in there, do you?

Then again....if they didn't, what would that say about their trust in their own product?

Hey.... there is no such thing as a Canadian dollar anymore.... nor a two dollar bill either. Those denominations have been coins for some time now. It must have been entirely funny money!

I figured you would title this: "Business Opportunity in Vancouver."

Jon, with a product like this security film, one would think it would be another selling feature for a sign shop. How many Sign Shops are promoting this type of service? I did a pick\up a few years ago for a client doing this type of work alone. Good Story!

Nothing like a business putting their money where their mouth is.

Alot of good (FREE) press.

Now the lesson to be learned is: How can a smart sign shop owner apply the same strategy to his/her sales presentation?

There is a GE plant near here in Burkville, Al.
My ex worked there...they made extruded 'glass' beads...mostly for vehicle lights.
When it would mess up coming out of the machines, they would take it and stretch it into unusual shapes...sometimes make bowls, ashtrays and 'sculptures'.

Sometimes, he brought peices of it to my daughter...and when he told me it was unbreakable I had to try and see.

This stuff IS pretty much unbreakable.

I took one of his 'sculptures' and repeatedly threw it down as hard as I could on my concrete porch and it hardly scratched it.

I DID eventually break it on a weak stretched spot.

They also make a bullet proof glass.

I'd be happy to have my truck lights made of it all around.
