I sure don't want to start a urination competition here...BUT
When Joey says things like "no wonder ya all are broke", and talking about "living in the past"...it's just his negative attatude that comes across. I have little doubt that he has valid points to make, and I know for a fact that he has extensive knowledge and experience to share...but it's the sarcastic crap (wow, deja vu, I've had to say this before) that takes an otherwise intelligent discussion and transforms it into, as Gavin would call it, "a s**t fight in the monkey house.
Wasn't trying to stir the mad..rather just an observation on a post.
And the TRUE jist of my post was...Kelly's initial sketch does indeed qualify as a logo design.

I'm with Kelly here...it is a logo...which will be made into a sign. A sign being a dimensional representation of the logo OR an application of a logo with additional supportive advertising copy.
If someone was looking for a Starbucks image, they would ask, "anyone have a Starbucks logo they can send me?" They wouldn't ask you to send them a copy of the Starbucks "sign."

I have difficulty calling something a logo when composed from over the counter clip art collections. I'm not ripping your design, just the use of that concept. For a logo, I want more than an assembly of stuff done for other projects.
