Well....there's a little less than 2 months to go before THAT deadline . . .
Is everybody ready?? Got all your paperwork together?? Got it all figured out? Is anybody completely done?? No worries? Anyone just totally evading this year??
I started earlier than usual this year on my procrastinating.
I have though, actually completed the stage of having everything stacked together in one place . . .
I'm trying to act cool about it and all . . .don't want the guv'ment to think I'm anxious or worried about gettin' it done or anything . . .

Took the junk to the accountant last week because I need to have it done so I can apply for a scholarship for my daughters school before March.
Accountant filed it electronically today. Now I just need to figure out how to pay him. Luckily, he bought a nice sign I'm delivering next week and I'll make some of it back!

Every year I buy a new file holder to organize WHILE I do the taxes. Now I have file holders with year labels lined up in abeyance while I procrastinate and don't remember stuff.
For me Tax time is the single most disgusting time of the year. My mind simply does not want to go there, and certainly does not want to stay there long enough to make a dent.
I stare at my accountant, who looks a lot like me, in absolute wonderment at how a person can actually deal with things like that every day.
Then, when she comes out to see what new large photo edge-prints are on my truck body I realize she can see the beauty in my pictures and I can't see it in her columns.
I think all of this is way beyond left and right brain. Because when I read on the designations for that I can't see my lack of ability, I can see I could do all of it just fine . I just simply hate it and don't want to.
Nevertheless, this year I am ahead of schedule, and, unlike the two previous years, will not need to ask for an extention due to inability to face reality.

You mean you've got to pay taxes! Nobody told me! All kidding aside, maybe we'll get a break this year since we spent money last year making improvements to our buildings.
I can relate to the right brain/left brain thing, Myra. I astonished some of my other-brain side friends a while back when we got on a discussion of what we would do if we failed in business. I said I would battle as hard as I could to not have to sell insurance. They said, "Hey, those guys can make a lot of money!" Well, there you go, I guess making money equals success to some, while making something look great equals success to others.

I started doing taxes years ago. Somehow doing someone else's doesn't bother me, it's doing mine that sucks....and every year it gets worse.
Last year I did get frustrated at 1 client who I had to ask for stuff from repeatedly. I'd give him a list of 5 things I needed, a month later he'd give me 2 then call & ask where we were... uh, still waiting for you! I thought for a while that he should NOT be in business for himself. Then I realized he was probably in business for himself because no employer could put up with his boneheadedness.
