We did a sidewalk sandwich board sign for a gift shop last year and used dry erase vinyl. The customer was not happy with it as it did not erase well at all.
Where can I get some decent dry erase board to attach to the sign? Anything I need to know about the quality of dry erase board? I don't want to buy more than I need.
Thanks

Did they use Windex? None of mine (I have about 10 of varying quality levels) erase well if I don't use windex, especially with colored markers.

Dave I just use Marlite (Abitibi or white tile board)cut to size & waxed with cheap aerosol furniture polish. It cleans up great with Windex. Just re-wax occasionally. Love.....Jill

Go to your local Home Depot, Lowes, or home improvement center, and ask for Abitibi, or other bath tub enclosure board. It comes in fake tile, assorted patterns and plain white! That is the one you want! They are 4'x8' sheets of hardboard with a melamine type of coating.
Save any left over material. Cut it up into convienient sizes and attach a 'shelf' to the bottom to hold a dry erase pen. Makes nice 'to do' and 'shopping list' reminders.
PS.....is the idiot customer using dry erase pens... or...regular felt tip pens?

for the schools we get our dry erase boards from Allmar distributors. They last but they need to be cleaned every now and then with EXPO to get all the ink dust off.If you use cheap board it seems to scuff and the ink is hard to get off. I did some sandwich boards for a shop down town about 6 years ago and the dry erase boards are in great shape and I used the better board.
