Neil...you would love to see him in concert then. I saw him in concert a few years back at the Breslin Auditorium at Michigan State University.
He was awesome!! We had good seats, and the way his stage was set-up...it was quite tall and we were right about eye level with him....
Funny Story about that Bob Seger Concert:
I thought the concert was going to be ruined for a minute, because this very large, belligerent drunk sat right in front of us with his skinny girlfriend. He was shouting all kinds of obscenities at the warm up band, being extremely crude and obnoxious and really making everyone around him uncomfortable.
My brother (a state trooper) and his wife were with us.....Just as Seger came in and started his first song, this guys skinny girlfriend lights up a join - - in an indoor campus building that had "no smoking" allowed period at any time...of and kind.
I tapped my brother and he motioned to another officer friend sitting behind us...and as she hands the joint to this trashed boyfriend, we all came out of our seats, grabbed the guy and restrained him.
Some City police working the show came up the aisle and along with my brother cuffed them both and sent them off to jail....they found a big bag of dope in his car along with $3000 cash.
This guy was sooooo obnoxious that after we restrained him....several people sitting all around him stood up, faced us and applauded.
I thought it was funny, because the guy kept yelling "F you" and "Get off the stage you MF'ers...we want Seger" to the warm up band....and the irony is this guy didn't even get to see but about 20 seconds of Seger's first song before he went to jail....
Edit: A funny thing I didn't mention....just before Seger came out, this very large and overweight guy stands up in front of everyone around him...pulls off his shirt exposing his ample girth...and then puts on a Bob Seger shirt that was literally 2 sizes too small....with his belly sticking out below the shirt...you had to be there, it was quite a sight.

I like the play list of our local oldies station but the song that got old was the one they kept singing when I tried to collect for their remote studio after lettering it. I ended up filing a lawsuit. They dragged things out and finally paid the day before it went to court.
A few months later, the station manager called about more work. After a couple of minutes, he asked: “Wait a minute. Aren’t you the guy that sued us? Why would we want to do business with you?” ...Click. Of course, his final question was the first one on my mind.
The station manager was one of those YAPPIES: a Young Arrogant Professionally Permed Irritating Exasperating Slave-driver. With his poofy, curly hair, he got nicknamed “The Poodle” and he sure yelped like one. He was not a fun person to work for... or try to collect from.

Arlo is still rollin', Sheila. He did a free concert here at Hartwood Acres awhile back. "Yappie"? Dave, that is too funny. I think I heard all the aforementioned songs yesterday while on a delivery....twice. (and I feel bad for the fat guy who got busted) Love.....Jill

I listen to some really obscure stuff sometimes. I love instrumental music with a beat. Jazz/Fusion, acoustic guitar etc. Groovin' music without all of the annoying lyrics.
Being a drummer ,some favs are Dennis Chambers, Dave Weckl, Simon Phillips- all drummers who have done collaborations with other great musicians.
There is some super music out there. You just have to find it.
I also listen to a lot of inspirational artists. Third Day, Mercy Me etc. Lifts you up instead of grating the nerves.

Almost all Topical FM stations play a 200-250 song rotation format based on their advertised Genre, with the most played decided by a Whitburn "Most Played List". And most FM stations now use no more than a 600 song library to pull the rotation from.
Get yourself an iPod, then you can listen to whatever you want . . put it on "Shuffle" and when you hear the same song twice in a week . . either you're listening too long, or it's time to change your Genres!
