I didn't know that your dad was sick, but I remember reading a post of yours recently in which you expressed how much you cherished him.
My deepest sympathy and condolences.

In our conversations over the past few months, I learned he was not just your dad, he was your friend. I am so sorry for your loss. I pray your good memories will fill your heart with good thoughts. It sounds like he was quite a guy too! Hang tough dude!

Bob I am really sorry to hear about the passing of your Father.
I am sure he will be up there looking down upon you all the time smiling and telling his newfound freinds how good of a son and a freind you are.

I don't really know you at all, but I am very sad for you. I am very close to my dad, and I hate to think about losing him one day. What a tremendous gift a good dad is!
Life is bitter and sweet. Sometimes one, sometimes the other, sometimes both at the same time.
May God help you through this difficult time.
Sincerely, --William

Bob; my deepest sympathies, he sounded like a good person from the proud way you've always spoken of him. May you and yours find the strength to endure during these times. I still miss mine the same as the first day afterwards and have come to terms w/their phyiscal absence by enjoying their memories as they come; may God bless and guide you.

It was a bit overwhelming to see this post, nevermind the resonses.
Yes yesterday Morning @ 10:17 my hero past on from our sight. His work here was done and it wasis turn to travel to a wold of eternal peace.
In his last days and moments he was surrounded by his family & friends.
He was at home, the same home he built himself back in the early 60's. He didn't suffer long, I thank God for that, I also thank god for all the added days that followed after the first hospitalization. When he first got sick and was diagnosed with cancer, I prayed for one more day. We were not only blessed with 3 more months but we shared one more thanksgiving and one more christmas as a family and at the old homestead. I always dreaded this day, for I adored my parents, and realized how precious they really are. we all had plenty of times to say what we needed to say, and I for one never said goodbye!
I always told him I'd see him soon, for I know I will see him again when my work here is done.
now I can say my dad is truly home!

A sad and happy day combined. You certainly seemed to have lost a great guy, but what a beautiful way of seeing him at peace. My prayers go with you.
Isn't it a great comfort to know that we were not designed for this world?
