Hey Peri, We've got our flights reserved with Olympic Air. It's the only airline that offers a direct flight to Greece...9 hours! We're departing from Montreal. Elaine & Jeff Wallis also booked with Olympic Air out of Toronto. We'll all be arriving at the same time on August 2nd - 10:40 a.m.
John: all the hotels mentioned in the parthenon2005 webpage are good and close to the area of the meeting but the Alkyon Resort Hotel is the place that the meeting takes place and most of the attendees have already booked there.
But, since the time of the meeting is recognised as "high season" for all the hotels i do encourage you to book your place as soon as possible. If u delay ur decision u may not be able to book a place to stay in that hotel. The same applies to other hotels as well.
Note : Keep in mind that if u book your stay in Alkyon Resort Hotel there's a discount of 20% especially to ALL the "LETTERHEADS'" members.
So, dont' forget to mention that u come for the upcoming meeting when u book your stay in that hotel.
Robert: I have in mind your first email telling me that u 'll be here for the meeting and i'm very happy about it.
Scott: Let me congratulate u for the baby u r going to have and also i'm very happy for your decision to come for the meeting.
Nancy: I 'll be definitely in the airport to pick u up with a summer-painted mini bus in the colours of "Parthenon2005". Most of the attendees will be here on the 2nd of August. John Jordan (from Australia) will arrive the night of that date.
DON'T FORGET TO FAX EARLY THE FORM IN ORDER TO MAKE THE T-SHIRTS AND THE SHOP-APPRONS.
Finally, i'd like to thank especially Steve and Barb who put the message of the "Parthenon2005" campaign upfront of the Bulletin' Board so all who r interested in coming to the event to arrange all the details for the meeting.
I wll post very often news and photos of the arrangements of the meeting.
Stay cool and keep on smiling .. Periandros and Kathy
This coming week, my daughter is going to print and fill out the registration and she will mail or fax it to you, as well as make our reservations at this beautiful hotel.
We're very excited!!!

This is one meet I wish I could afford to go to, but my one man on the side shop just can not justify the cost.
I was stationed with the U.S. Navy outside of Athens in 1969 - 1970 and loved the country and people!
Every one have some Retsina wine for me! Most sign painters would appreciate the slight turpentine flavor.

Hey Matthew . . .I'm just 'pickin' at' you, but . . . . . what difference does it make HOW far from the airport this is?? (lol)
ALTHOUGH, if I was of'a mind to walk from there if it were only a couple or 3-5 miles and take in the air, smells, the people, the buildings and the veiws immediately . . .well, that actually WOULD be a great idea!!

Is it just me or has anyone else heard a rumour that a sweet young couple from Boise Idaho will be travelling to Greece this summer? What's the scoop?

Well it's true. Noel & Lucy Weber are going to the Parthenon Meet. Noel is an inspiration to the entire industry, and it is quite fitting that one of the original seven Letterheads will help carry the torch to Greece. Welcome aboard Noel and Lucy.

Thank for all you efforts and time orginizing this event.
I am booking my hotel room with a double occupancy. Perhaps there is another Letterhead that would like to split the cost. Is there any kind of list for sharing rooms?

Joe, I could share your hotel costs....I haven't registered as yet still unsure if I can make it. I really want to go as it would be a great oppurtunity to meet some great sign people and learn a whole load.
Problem at the moment is financial, costs of getting from Sweden to Greece and cost of being there plus meet, we are off to England to next week to meet my family thats 3 weeks so another foreign trip is going to be tough straight after that.
That said I'm working on it, was thinking of travelling on the 3rd and leaving on the monday or tuesday 8th or 9th.
You may already be sorted, I found a package deal flight/hotel from Sweden to Loutraki with hotel etc but maybe its better to stay at the site??
