I've searched through but have not found an answer to this. I need to send files in .ai format but when I convert the logo to curves and export it, then import it back into Corel 10 to check for problems I get irregular outlines and vertical lines going thru the letters and graphics. This particular logo has no gradiants just navy w/ red outlines which I converted to objects.
I've tried exporting it in Illustrator 4 as well as 7 with the same results.
Just what boxes are supposed to be checked besides PC and convert to curves?
Hope someone has encountered and figured this out. [I Don t Know]

If you email it to mike@copyshop.ca
I'll try it with corel 12.

I don't recall having had problems exporting .ai from ver 10

just to clarify the question, do you have illustrator to check it there, or are you only checking it back in Corel?

Export as an EPS extention.

I have run into this as well. I used to weld everything back together but finally found the solution.

On the check boxes, make sure "Simulate complex filled curves" is NOT checked. That should solve the problem.

Edited to add:

Make sure "Simulate outline effects" is NOT checked either. That will help eliminate the weird outlines.

The sliced and diced export will show up that way in Illustrator and Flexi if those boxes are checked.

David- that almost worked except now the outline around one word doesn't come in when I import it back into Corel. I took the outline out, made a duplicate, put an outline around it and sent it to the back> exported> imported back in... outline is gone!
Doug- I don't have Illustrator- just Corel 10 and SignLab.
Todd- .eps doesn't give me very good results.

This is driving me [Bash]

Have you tried exporting it directly from Signlab? You can do it as an AI or EPS.
