How do I make Transparent backgrounds in Corel Draw 11. I know you can do it if you create a .gif image but the image quality is really bad. How do I make the background transparent in another format so I dont get a white box around my logo when I use it on the web, or how can I improve the quality of my .gif image

here is the .gif image the background is transparent but the quality is bad
 -

and this is the quality Im hoping for this is a .jpg but the background is a white box not transparent

PhotoPaint will do the white background removal thing. IT takes a little work but it can be done.

Go here for the tutorial.

If you want to use it on the web well gif and png are the only bitmapped formats that handle transparancy and looking at your example what you need is to use png with anti aliasing on. Your other choice would be to draw a vector of your logo and then save it as a swf it is the format Flash creates although CorelDraw will export out swf's. Something like 90% of all Computers have the flash player pluging installed so swf should work also for you.
