Nice Site, Serge!!!! You'll probably do well. I just couldn't resist to chime in!!! I used to be a salad chef at many country clubs and restaurants. Yes, I did other things than sign painting... before signpainting and in addition to signpainting... What a nice way to spend the rest of your life, having a wine store. I admire folks who know so much about wines, as I have never learned too much in that dept. I always say, one of these days... If it were my store, I would love to mingle with my customers and find out everything there is to know about them, and keep a journal. Those fine stores that have the international foods with wine are wonderful. They have delis and fine wines and imported beers, a little art work, etc. The business of wines is so lucrative! But, it goes along with those who love life, and maybe travel too. You know why it's called the Gold Coast, right? I would also talk to other store owners in that part of the country, and your certain local. They would give you the ins and outs of the ordinances, and what to expect in general info you need to know about thriving businesses, and bankers? they know whose making what! Once you have the scoop, you can add services, and keep the prices high to keep the clientele those who are particular about quality. To make it even more personal and bring the folks in for a little more time, have a few tables, drown them with personal service, and handpaint beautiful vineyard scenes on your exterior and interior walls and panel trucks. Deliver to all those rich sophisticated folks who entertain royalty and/or royally! Sign laws depend on the district, but actually some places in Fla require planted flowers/foliage under and around the signs that are freestanding. That's not such a bad idea, I think. Lets see, you sending out samples? I may be getting company again... my address is....just kidding... well not....seriously, have you seen Kimberly Zanetti's posts? You two would have a lot to talk about! Good luck with the store and signs!!!!

Serge, Just a thought...I remember when I was young, my dad did a sign for his buddy's Wine Shop (Village Liquors in Jamesburg, NJ). He used a half of a wine barrel, lettered it all nice and then they hung it up outside over the front door. Someplace I have a picture of it...I know I've seen it recently. Give me some time and I'll find it.

I'm about 3 hours from Broward but may be able to help you out if you can't find someone closer. My sister lives in Plantation. Not sure if that is Broward or Dade county.
Call or email if you like. Everything is in my profile.
