One of my passions is watching bull riding, especially the PBR. The finals were weekend before last but they are showing re-runs. I've followed it like a religion this year. Any other fans out there?

I've always enjoyed watching bull riding. When it comes to atheletes, those guys are the bravest of the brave. My favorite is Adriano Moraes. I also pull for some of the bulls. My favorite was a little white and black spotted bull from about ten years ago called Spotted Fever.

George, Adriano is my favorite rider but I too lean mostly to the bulls. I guess I just like winners and they win a lot more often than the riders. I was watching Adriano last week when his bicep on his riding hand was torn away from the bone and yet he rode Mossy Oak Mudslinger for 93 points to win the go round!!
Mike, I haven't fly fished since you were in three corner pants but I can sure recommend fishing of any sort in Alaska. My favorite is halibut and we always limit out every year. I've caught King salmon up to 63 lbs out of the Kenai River. During the salmon runs they have "combat fishing" along the banks of the creeks and rivers. I've fished literally shoulder to shoulder with other anglers and, as crazy as it sounds, you almost never get tangled up. I'd be happy to give you my suggestions for a great trip and ways to save a lot of money, things to do and not do, the best times to go and so on. Belive it or not, my first priority in planning a trip is to check the tide chart for the window of time I want to fish in. The rest of the trip is built around that.

I luv them. And I really like it when the bull gores the riders. Not just a little hokk but a good one. Just dont want the rider hurt just pushed around a little.

YUP!! Jim and I are fans, we watched to see if Adriano was gonna make it again, but at least you had to give him credit for trying, man, that hadda hurt!!!!!

I like watching the bull riders! Those guys have to be the toughest of all athletes...bar none.
Some time back awhile ago, I heard that what makes the rodeo bulls meaner than most, is the guy who opens the chute gate. Just before releasing the rider and bull, he whispers into the bull's ear: "Pssst...that guy on your back is the one who thought up the concept of Artificial Insemination."

My youngest son is named after a 1987 world champion bull rider Lane Frost. I was lucky enough to meet Lane at several different events in Montana, and we got to spend some time with him at the NFR finals in Vegas in 1987 (what a nice guy, RIP).
This years PBR finals were pretty awesome. Adriano Moraes really cowboy'd up just to be able to ride. Justin McBride, and Cody Hart both competed with broken legs. I don't think there is any question what sport is the roughest!
The PBR and PRCA are by far the best sports to attend with the family.
Favorite living rider would have to be Tuff Hedeman! Anyone catch the show on OLN "Fearless" about the bull "Bodacious".

On a side note, rodeo clown Lecile Harris is a sign painter whom I worked with in the seventies. He is still doing the rodeo circuit and is in his sixties.
