To start Gene, you could do a search of the Directory (below new topic) above. Type in either pa or pennsylvania and search by location. That'll fill in some of the blanks, but I see a few names still missing.

The Letterville Database down at City Hall indicates 331 sign shops in Pennsylvania have registered here at Letterville. I can't verify all are Letterheads, but who knows about the future?

Gene, my family tree has very deep roots in the rolling hills of Pennsylvania. (and MANY branches, thank you)
On Mom's side, they stretch back to Palatine Germans who immigrated to Bedford County around the time of the Revolutionary War. My great-great grandfather was one of 17 children. He fought with the 101st PA in the Civil War. Mom's grandma emigrated from Ireland about 1880, and somehow that makes me related to our pal Mark Rogan!
Daddy's side didn't get here until 1876, when they came over from County Galway in Ireland. There are also some Creek Indians from Mississippi in the tree too. But eventually my dad was born, another one of 17 children, and his family settled in Allegheny County, Allison Park to be exact.
I am one sign shop amidst many licky-stickies and only a few die-hard traditionalists. Alas, I am the only Letterhead around these parts. I try to enlighten these other shops, but they look at me like some kind of freak. I think that there is a Letterhead shop over in Zelienople. And my Mars meet hooked me up with one local Pinhead, John Podolak. He lives 3 miles away.
The Pennsylvania people who attended the 2002 International in Mars were 98% NOT local. They came from Indiana, Kittanning, Christiana, Latrobe, Johnstown, Biglerville, Harrisburg, out by Philly etc.
Billy Beckner had the International at Canonsburg, PA in 1992. That is about an hour or so away from me! Alas, it was a whole year before I had even heard of The Letterheads!
Brooooce is a true Pennsylvanian. He misses our lovely green state a great deal. Steve Shortreed shares his love of Town Talk bread! So I think that PA has a "special place" right here in Letterville.
Love....Jill

Pennsylvania transplant here. Born in the south, raised in New Joisey, exit 10, moved here about 4 years ago. I've noticed a lot of 'heads from Pa and there's even more that don't even post. Maybe it's time for a mini-meet in the Harrisburg area?

Get a meet going, I just may drive over from Beautiful Newaygo, Michigan! This time I will use my own car, not that stupid rental I had at the Looney meet, right Si?

Checkers, It IS the state capital and relatively central. A meet there sounds like a good idea. It can't conflict with Jill's meet though. Maybe even a mini-meet or social gathering? I was actually in your neck of the woods the other day (shopping, not working). We need to meet sometime. Jill, What kind of family tree is it, hickory nut?
And future or past Pennsylvanians count. I'm a 2 year transplant myself (but I WAS taught by a bunch of Scranton, PA nuns, so I had a head start.)

Hey Gene, A social gathering would be great! I would like to use this gatering to meet others in the area and to plan a real meet. Perhaps a panel jam or even a walldog event. And naturally, I wouldn't want it to conflict with other events already planned. I'd be more than happy to host the social at my house and fire up the bbq since my "friend's" employment seems to be a little unstable at the moment. If you or anyone else is interested, email me or call me at work. The toll free number at the shop is 800-318-9070.

Then August 19, 20, & 21st IT IS!!! Checkers, call me to set it up.
Just kiddin', Jill. I don't think we're talking a full blown event here, but you never know what'll happen. But really Brian, name a date and I'll be there. This is close enough for me to make quick plans. I'd be willing to help out (don't tell my wife I said that).
