My boy's name is Jackson, so here is a picture of the first Jackson-o-lantern! [Big Grin]

I turned a picture of him to grayscale, played with the brightness and contrast, added some eyebrows, fangs and widow's peak. I transferred the image onto the pumpkin and got out my woodcarving chisels. (That's actually the first thing I've carved this year!)

Got lots of comments from Trick or Treaters tonight. Everyone seemed to like it.

Anyone else want to share a picture of yours?

Very cute! Best pumpkin I have seen this year. And he is getting BIG.

Thanks for sharing,

I love! That's great Terry. You had some fun too. I'll bet Jackson loved it.

Terry, I can't believe that is your 'baby!' He's so adorable!

What a shame you can't keep that pumpkin around! It's awesome.

Cody got one pumpkin this year, from the pumpkin patch through school. All he wanted to do was carve it inch by inch himself (with a mini carving kit) until it was GONE. Then he was happy. LOL

In the past we grew our own pumpkins on our horse manure pile and the yield was incredible! And I carved each one super fancy like what you did. My excuse this year? I took a Halloween off this year. [Smile]

That's too cool.
Did you just kind of "thin" the skin (not carve through) ...or paint it ... either way I love it.

Cute kid, glad your enjoying him [Smile]

Terry, that is just fabulous.
Jackson is soooo CUTE!!!!!!!!!
The carving is clever and original (like you)
Here is Justis at the end of the night, beside the pumpkin he carved.
He was a Union soldier, and he's home today with a cold.
You can see the chalkwork he added to the house years ago behind his head.
Little boys have a way of growing up too fast....enjoy. Love.....Jill
