Just loaded a bunch of fonts. I use ATM. Currently have 730 fonts loaded.
In VE you can load fonts from the master list into a current list that is unique to each project you are working on.
When you are in the Master List, it shows a sample of what wording you are looking at, in the font style.
Here's my problem...
I select my wording, go to my current list of fonts, select which font to change it to... and sometimes it either totally deletes the wording, or changes it to a font that I don't even have chosen in my list! I have to select undo, until I get back to before I tried to change the font.
When I look at the Master list, it shows it fine, including the sample.
I went in to ATM and changed cache size, didn't help.
The same fonts work fine in other programs.
They aren't only just the ones I just loaded.
I have not sat down and tried every font to see if there is any sort of pattern. It does seem to be TT fonts... at least so far!
Any ideas?
Thanks!!!

Dana ,...is type manager loading the fonts into the default windows font folder,..some programs go there to access font data, and programs like atm will load fonts but not copy the font file to the windows folder,...thus some programs can't find the proper files so they can work,...hope this helps ya,...
edited to also say atm deals with postscript fonts and type one fonts,.....dunno if it is set to work with true type fonts on your setup so you may have to check your font settings to enable postscript and type one support for fonts,as this may affect the way ve/old flexi sees the fonts,....

One font I have trouble with is Verdana. Is in my starter set, was not one I just loaded.
According to properties of the font in ATM, is located in: windows\font\verdana.ttf. Is that what you mean?
Also... ATM settings lists where to look for types of fonts, where is enabling? In advanced, it does have selected "check for new or removed true type fonts (and type 1) etc..."
Does it mean anything when it occassionally substitutes a completely different font located in another folder in ATM?
Geeesh... I wish I understood all this computer stuff better!!
PS - just tried again. This time it wouldn't use Zurich BK, another PS font I already had. Is located in c:\psfonts.
First time I selected to use it, it substituted A&S Rhino Regular instead - which is located in windows\font\atmfolder. The second time I selected it, it totally deleted my wording.

You might want to check for font conflicts. One thing to look for is that you don't have the same font installed in both a PostScript and a TrueType version on the same system.
Verdana, for example, comes preloaded with Windows in TTF format. If you have it also installed as PostScript, then you have a conflict.

Dana I also use VE master & Flexi pro. I can't figure your problem out. You might want to post it on "Flex-e-talk" on this website: http://www.givemehelp.com/ I've seen VE questions there in the past. Mark Rugen monitors that sight & he's de master at Flexi.(VE is the same.) Another help sight is: http://www.flexiezine.com/ Bobby Fosson runs that sight & is very helpful. Good Luck!
