I'd be interested in what Versacamm owners had to say. Anyone out there? I considered buying one (leasing) but couldn't justify the cost of $300.00 a month. I figure I'd have to generate $1200.00 of sales for the Versacamm to even start making money. Although there seems to be a desire from my market area for digital printing, no one wants to pay for it, and for the few customers that do justify the cost, I simply sub-out for an Edge or Scotchprint. My market is relatively small (I serve a county of around 100,000, with around 350 businesses) so your mileage may vary. [Smile]

I would say the best thing to do is to sub out the work until you have the work for it.
We own the original soljet sc500 and work in a town of about 60,000 population and there is more then enough work for it.
If you were going to buy a new one wait until the bigger version of the the soljet comes out in November , then you can print banners, posters, car wraps and still print the smaller jobs

If money is tight, don’t think in terms of “If I buy it, they will come.” Build up your market first for the product by subbing out the printing. When you are regularly purchasing what the machine payments would cost, you are in a much better position to ask the bank for a loan. More importantly, you are at the point that you can afford the unit and allow it to make you money, not cost you.
