I have been doing alot of road peddling (biking)this summer. Tomorrow (Friday) I am doing my longest stretch in one day. I will be peddling about 240 km. Man I hope I have a tail wind.
Take care!

Be sure to lean WAY low...You have too much wind resistance when yer upright!!!!!!!!!!! LOL
Actually...I guess maybe NOT...the air is kinda rarified way up there where you are used to being, unlike us lowly 6 footer types!!!

Steve, Good luck on your 240km. I took part of the day off and went on a 60 mile/96.5km bike ride. Took my 52+ year old body almost 5 hours, so you can see that I'm not in prime shape!! I got interested in cycling when I found out this summer that I don't like running for exercise. I want to do the Seattle to Portland next year, its about 204 miles in one or two days, I'd love to do it in one day-we'll see how good of shape I get in this winter. I noticed today that the hills didn't seem as daunting as they did a month and a half ago when I did the same ride.
Good luck and let us know how it goes!

Good for you Steve! I did 120km once back around 1990. Now that I have kids I don't have as much time to ride. I try to ride to work a couple of days a week (about 18km each way). It's just enought to clear my head, especially after work. Yesterday it was pouring rain the whole way home. I was drenched! P.S. I almost posted my distances in miles but converted to km out of respect for you hosers, ay?
