I was waxing poetic in my day dreams today.

What brings you the most happiness?

Me, being a religious guy, answer truthfully that the Peace I know through Jesus is top of the list. My 4 (so far) kids are close second.

How about you. And are you investing to get what "IT" is?

Good question, Philip.

My walk with the Lord Jesus is very precious to me as is His acceptance of what I choose to do with myself, but like all those who try to follow Christ, I can and do stray from His purposes, usually for my own and almost meaningless reasons.

Money and possessions, to me, while nice to have and necessary to a point, are nearly worthless from an eternal perspective. We die, and all else eventually perishes.

Ok, sorry I was so crabby before. It's been a long day.
Actually I am very easy to please.
Give me a Milky Way Midnight and a can of Coors Light. That's all it takes.
Also I thank God every day for my kids, my dear old Mom, Stevo, my fambly, my health, the roof over my head, my dog, my truck, and my job.

Gettin' ready for for eternity pleases me about as much as anything I can think of too [Wink]

In the mean time, While trapped on earth, my most favorite happy-time is for me & Bear to hike a creek all day long.

But then, without bein' philosophical, idealistic and dreamy and all....my NEXT most favorite thing that can make me happy is to conquor the reality of the everyday work of managing the multitude of THINGS THAT HAVE TO BE DONE.

Even the smallest of accomplishments in any one these diverse areas can get me euphoric. [Big Grin]

I can not believe I think that way about the mundane responsibilities of life . . . mabey I should restate the thing to say, everyday challenges make me happy...

which could even be condensed further into "bein' alive"...
but that would have been the easiest way to say it.. [Big Grin]

Kimberly read my mind!!

Truly, my husband first. I feel so blessed every night that I crawl into bed beside him, my kids safe in their beds, a warm cozy home that we renovated together with a roof over our heads.

I also love sheets dried on the clothes line, the smell of fresh coffee and the first cup of the day. I love the lake and nature, wood fires, and a great book.

I have 3 boys and a new daughter-in-law who are all wonderful, each in their own way. I have hobbies that I enjoy working on, quilting, watercoloring, and cooking. I have gotten to know some of the nicest, most talented people and had such memorable, fun times though letterhead meets....HOW can I NOT be happy!!?? [Big Grin]

My wife, for without her I'd be running rampant without direction...

Sitting in the hot tub under the stars in the late evening and having great conversations with my two boys.

Taking five minutes to actually sit in a chair, sun on my face, eyes closed, and do nothing. Ever so peaceful....aaahhhhhhhhh, lets make it 10 minutes then...... [Smile]

Truth be told, and extended...

I love the fall. Cool breezes and trees changing color.

<slightly imature embarassment> I like a good online shoot-um-up video game. (Don't tell my kids)

And I asked if you are purposefully enjoying the things you enjoy. I encourage you to get away from "WORK WORK WORK" because life is to short not to enjoy it. (OP- I don't recommend your indulgence...for you hearts sake.)

Marks "I like Salad" had me laughing sooo hard.

I'm pretty much right there with Bruce... maybe not so much the oi-vega thing... hey, that's what I got the PT for!!

Cool lil moments would be: knowing I've got a great kid that I don't have to worry about; a purring cat cuddled in my lap; the second when I get home, open the door and I'm mobbed by the boys; the smell of chocolate chip cookies in the oven; the totally unexpected check in the mail that gets you over that financial hump; knowing my folks are just a phone call away; flannel sheets when it's cold... and lots more.

I like cheese.

I like salad... with cheese on it.

And I'm REALLY happy that I'm too old to be that redhead with OP... [Razz]

Curling... I forgot to say curling.

Bowling, too. I like bowling better than curling but only because I can go bowling and do, too. Often. With Dana, even!

I like to watch curling on TV. Awesome game. Better than watching hockey! For the time being anyways.

I also like salads. And cheese. And salads with cheese. Dana forgot pizza with salad and cheese.

Pizzaman's coming!

1.Curling: The act of winding ones hair on circular tubes in order to produce a wavy affect.

2. Curling: The act of repeatedly lifting a weight to produce a muscular version of ones existing arm.
