I'd like to find a program the could organize my personal (& maybe busn.) addresses and contact information. I want to be able to select certain people and then print labels or envelopes. I'm thinking ahead to Christmas and possible bulk mailing. I'd like to be able to group people in catagories, friends, customers, vendors, etc. I know my Outlook e-mail app. has a address book, but I can't figure out how to print labels from it....anybody know?

Yea Karen, but I'm SURE you used one of those nifty "looks like it's handwritten" fonts, right? Sorry Jane, I never need it, don't have that many friends (betcha can't imagine why, huh?)

Jane if you have MS Word, you can import addresses from Outlook to print labels. Go into the HELP index and type in "address" and it will show you how to do it. It's a little more involved than I can type in here right now.

Thanks for the help, guys! I sat down one day and figured I should be able to do this.... but couldn't find anything in word about labels... guess I should have looked under address. DUH! Why do they make it so difficult. Seem like this is a pretty basic thing most people would want to do!?

Jane, do you have Corel Draw? It has a feature called Print Merge, which allows you to take a list of names and print them all out automatically. Print merge

To do what you want you could use MS Access but to do that it would be a challenge and a steep learning curve. I just think you will need a database to start.

Peter, I printed out the info you suggested. We have 12 and 9 on different machines. I'll try it this next week. Too much work today. THANKS though!

In Word look under 'Tools' on the tool bar for 'Mail Merge', it'll wizard you through selecting the right label layout (by specific Avery Labels even) and then in seeking the address info from a database I have set up in an Excell file. I don't use Outlook so I can't help you there.
