You're kidding! Wow! I remember when I lived in upstate NY, it snowed in early Sept or Oct of that year - and it kept snowing through April. Needless to say, I only spent one year there. :-)
Sure does look pretty though. It's all a matter of perspective - it will be 108º AND humid here today. I just want to scream.
I don't think there's anything better than curling up on the couch in front of the fireplace with a good book and cup of tea watching the snow fall outside. That's pretty much my idea of a perfect afternoon.
Hang tough Duncan, looks like it might be a LONG winter up there.

Now that Francis has blown itself out, the sun is out again in Kentucky (well almost). I'm enjoying my last few days of heat, humidity and sun before returning to the UK and having to experience rain and cold again. Unfortunately, it doesn't snow that much in England and if it does the whole country grinds to a halt, so probably just as well. No pretty stuff for us. We just do rain fairly well!
Thanks for the photos Duncan, It makes me enjoy the sun even more. Barb

Keep it up there, SignDog. What a rude awakening! Plus, poor Stevo had a flat tire amidst all that white crap this morning. Should I pack my winter woolens when I come to visit next month? Love....Jill

Jilly, If you don't like the weather in Alberta, wait 30 minutes, and it will change! Saturday will be +17C much more seasonable. One year we were golfing 'til Christmas Eve. Bottom line...be prepared for all weather conditions. Good Luck
